Huh, maybe I just haven't seen many spider anthros but I get an ant-vibe more than a spider-vibe.
That said, I despise how anime/manga will transform monster characters into human characters. Other than the superrare transformation back, they're no different from superpowered humans. They look human, act human, and have the same "I will crush you with my aura to make you do what I want"-human power.
