Vindor !
As good of friends as we are, it's hard to say no when the idea of a friendly duel comes up~ And while Vindor and I practice different schools of magic, his being focused on the arcane and mine on folklore, it seems we're not that far apart when it comes to skill or technique >:3 So now let's see if I can weave my way through his defenses or if I'm about to regret agreeing to this battle!

Some very beautiful work here with the lighting effects to convey yours and Vindor's magic, as well as with the texture of the clothing, the stone surfaces and fur and hair detail, one of those pictures where along with being a dynamic action scene there's a lot of fine details to discover and enjoy.
Looks like it would be a close match, coming down to whomever can slip their magic past the others defences first, perhaps one of those threads might slip through since there's a fair number of them for Vindor to keep track of, though likewise the flow of his magic might push them aside and engulf you.

You absolute sweetheart ;-; <3 Thank you. This was an incredibly fun piece to do but I would be lying if I said I didn't have a few days of pure frustration getting it to look how I wanted haha!
And it's a tough call for who has the upper hand here! It may just come down to a lucky blow in the end..... Or Vindor just exploding our arena haha!
