NHP stand for Non Human Person, they are like sentient AI and really helpful to operate a mech as you can imagine, but the thing is they more like AI that ascended to another plane of existence and can affect reality in unpredictable ways, so they are "shackled" to have more human like tough pattern so communication is possible among other things, rose being unstable means the shackle is a bit loose, allowing her to think a bit "outside the box" and do some "fun" suff...
