‘Nowhere left to run,… you can come quietly, or be dragged, you’re worth the same to me either way.’
“Hunting a bounty can take you to all kinds of places, from space stations to mining colonies to the back alleys of a city at night. Some bounties like to fight when they realize they’ve been targeted, but most like to run. The chase is what being a bounty hunter is all about, tracking down the target, no matter where they run, no matter where they hide. Most bounty hunters live for the chase, for the thrill of the hunt, and I’m no exception there.
As much as I do enjoy the chase, make no mistake, if you end up on my bounty list, I will find you, no matter how far you run, and when the hunt is over, you better hope you are worth more alive than dead.”

From the color commission list of ShoNuff44 comes another very intimidating picture of my scifi reptilian bounty hunter, Grimlock, seemingly having cornered his latest bounty target.
Watching this badass bounty hunter closing in on you with a gun in one hand and a bounty marker with your picture on in it the other hand is certainly not a sight anyone wants to see for themself, yet this picture really captures that moment perfectly. This scenario certainly played out a lot in the game after my character had made a name for himself, and while the game tended to focus more on confronting the target than the chase leading upto that, I always imagined the hunt would be the harder part. Fighting and subduing a target is one thing, but tracking them down across planets, cities and starways certainly had to be the hard part, and require no small degree of skill and effort on the part of the hunter, even if it that part didn’t translate well into actual gameplay. ;).
I love the atmosphere of this picture, the looming dark cityscape background, with a clearly futuristic look to it, and those few sparse lights to break up the darkness. The walls around him give that back alleyway feel to his immediate surroundings, dimly lit by an unseen source and by the holographic bounty marker. His positioning gives that great mid-step feeling of him walking towards the viewer, as his tail sways behind, while the flaring out if the sides of his jacket really accents the feeling of motion. His posing and expression give him a calm, yet intimidating look, he’s got his target right where he wants it, and he knows it. The lighting effect from the holographic image is a great touch, as it shines off the edges of his jacket, face and hair, further adding to his imposing look. And that bit of fogginess on the ground adds an ominous touch in how it billows up and adds sort of a glow around him as he walks through it. All in all, a very menacing and intimidating picture of Grimlock on the job.
