Me on the other end: "What if my comment upset them? Am I irritating them by filling their inbox with stupid, pointless comments that don't add anything? Should I delete it? What if they already saw it? Would that be worse? T_T"
I love little comics like this. Learning a little bit more about my favorite artists, and making them relatable instead of feeling like they're unapproachable art gods that can only be admired from afar. ^^;

I feel this, there are many artist that I enjoy that I sometimes respond, not knowing if they will read or care. But I do try to give encouragement to continue their work, certainly if I see positive progress in their art. If I find that they declined, I try to give them what I think, but also pointing out many good things that they do, so they can improve (ratio of 3 positives for 1 negative). I get genuinely surprised when I get a response from them, to be honest.
On the other side, when I post stuff, I get a few comments, but don't know how to respond to them, but I truly enjoy the comments I get none the less.
