Not only he looks serious but something chilling actually exists in his image
His gaze is cold and almost uncaring, his noble look hides the darkness like a cloak hides the murderer
Gold and blue are rather beautiful together yet it is actually feels both... wrong. Blue is dimm and lifeless, gold is dull and shimmer like a knife's blade

Honestly, I'm amazed how much information about the character you can gain from one omage just by analyzing the colors and emotion/gaze

I guess i can blame both my experience in art, books and a bit of storytelling deciphering in Dark Souls series through visuals and environment
And it is always good to pay attention at details because devil always hides among them
I have to say you are pretty good at breathing life into these images through the little crumbs in form of small things and colors
It is quite awesome. Every art like an enigma and it is beautiful
