I'm loving the way you were able to keep the plan obscured to the audience, really playing into the idea of us just looking in, but not paying any attention to the captives! Plus, that line work alongside the lighting is exceptional, especially with it changing Michelle's fur color!

Absolutely hilarious. They have Grendel completely fooled, considering that Michelle and Davy have been doing this for a long time in-universe.
The risk is what the freaked-out anaconda is actually going to do.
Run and get Leopold? That's probably what they are hoping for. Get involved directly? Well, it might give them a chance to take him as a hostage. But there's also a chance he could fetch Percy, who would take prompt and effective action, e.g., could take SHEILA hostage and force a trade. Which brings them right back to square one.
