I didn't intend on making two memorial pictures in a row, but here we are I guess. This one is dedicated to
Dragoneer, showing his hyena character Preyfar in his repair shop, welcoming you.
Preyfar's design is one of the earliest fursona designs that really stuck with me for a long while. So when the FA staff announced the Memorial Community Project for Dragoneer, I immediately knew that I wanted to draw him. I thought he would fit well in a cyberpunk setting, so that's what I went with.
I haven't said much about Dragoneer's passing, mostly because I felt that since it send such large shockwaves through the community, seeing as how much of an integral figure he was, I didn't have much to add really. I really wish I would have interacted with him more. I remember how proud I felt when I saw him following me or favorite something I had drawn. In the few exchanges we did have, he was always courteous and supportive and it meant a lot to me.
One of my takeaways from his passing is, that I want to be more upfront about when I feel admiration for someone and tell them more openly what they mean to me. Because life is too short to wait for the right moment sometimes.
Thank you Dragoneer, for making FurAffinity feel like a place where I felt welcome and at home.
May you rest in peace.

I used to play ESO with him. He used the name Preyfar and I had no idea who he was, lol. When I got around to asking him the typical furry question of 'Do you have an FA?' he actually laughed at me. When he explained who he was; and of course I didn't believe him at first; we had a really good laugh about it. He was a real chill guy, and I'm going to miss him. Thanks for making this, man.
Man, I remember first meeting him on Yiffnet/Furnet back in a day and hanging out in #lobby with him, Calorath and KaputOtter amongst some other people.
We got few images together too, then we drifted apart around 2010s and never get back because I was always saying "There will be always tomorrow to catch up." and one day there wasn't. We always greeted each other when we saw one another on Picarto.
Really good rendering on this one. Makes me think of happier days.
