This is part of a series of drawings I did as part of a daily challenge with a friend!

So, this one might surprise some folks, but it's also something that I wasn't hiding so much as it never really came up. The little panther girl down there is Violette.
Yep, THAT Mizz Violette.
She was caught up in the same biological weapon experiments that Rose was, in a program known as TEIR (Technologically Enhanced Infantry Research). Where Rose has powers that manifest as super strength and non-burning flames, Violette has the ability to create ice. Unlike Rose, however, who was broken out of a facility and dedicated her life to killing the leader of the program, LaRose, for revenge, Violette was sold off to the technologically advanced Azure territory, located north of Keeton's territory. Although the goal was to sell her as part of an arms race between the territories, Azure is a deeply peaceful and isolated place. When they bought her, it was ultimately to give her freedom and save her from a future as a weapon of war. The red panda on the right, Grant Desmond, ended up taking her on as his own daughter, protecting her from the horrors of the rest of the world as best as he could and keeping her from knowing about her origins until she was much older. As a result, Violette didn't really develop her ice powers to the same level as other fursons from the same program. In her modern life, she rarely even sees the need.
It's little wonder now that Violette became so focused on settling matters in less violent ways, don't ya think?

Oh, and her father is alive and well! He's still in Azure while Violette is living in Keeton City.

I wasn't kidding when I said that these drawings from this month were meant to further flesh out my cast and the world. I'd been meaning to show Violette's origin story for a very long time. Like, seriously, I wrote the entire thing out ages ago and nearly started a book with it.
