When Jake shows up to meet his brother for lunch, he is surprised to learn that his sibling has transitioned.
A little piece I wrote for Pride Month, later this year, and I also wanted to post it here on the Trans Day of Visibility, as an expression both of myself as a trans artist, along with a reminder to the world that trans folks are here.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility!
Apologies for the generic thumbnail. As of now anyway, it's a one shot.

It's what ideally should happen in the best of cases, that their love for their sibling overrides anything else. No one expects anyone to get it, not right away, but what I do hope is that most people would at least be open to their loved one to hear what they have to say and at least try. As far as if there is a sequel, maybe, for next year's pride.
Thank you very much! I wanted to do something for pride, especially this year. I wanted it to sort of be a bit of a primer or a guide for the best version of this conversation. I wanted the brother to ask questions I figured people would most likely ask, at least those open to it. And hopefully to give strength to the person doing it, as it's a big gamble for most. Possibly the biggest of our lives.
