Little backstory.
Kay, since she was reprogrammed by Eggman and lived her whole life on the Egg Carrier, thinks that Shadow is her brother. They're adopted brother and sister. But of course Shadow can't save his baby sister all the time. Eggman's got her chained up outside someplace. But she's holding her faith, because Shadow always told her he would always be with her and she's never alone.
