That doesn't even make sense. Millipedes have 4 legs per segment (2 pairs)....and 666 is not divisible by 4.

Yeah? Just by nature, they'll rarely have an uneven number of legs just from bilateral symmetry. This isn't accounts legs they have lost/are missing from genetic mutations or "battle damage." The first few segments either don't have appendages or only have one pair of legs, as well as the last few segments. Otherwise, just because of bilateral symmetry, they're going to have mostly even numbered legs.

You have a good point. But some animals have asymmetric body parts. Opposums have 13 nipples!

I think your title, plus the memories of cuteness that your name provides to them, primed the audience to think of this bug as cute, and to see it more in a cute light, rather than if you'd named the submission "ew groase" or something. centipedes are poisonous x.x or is it venomous? either way they're CREEPYY

Both have toxins, but centipedes actively inject it, so it feels like a bee sting, meanwhile millipedes are nice and just secrete a mild toxin that'll make you nauseous if you consume it.

I once found a centipede in my laundry room and I managed to kill it with Raid before it ran off.

Centipedes suck, they sting, but millipedes are chill.

i used to have an african millipede. they make the best pets and when they crawl on you they feel like the hard part of velcro. when they eat hard fruits and veggies they make lil crunch sounds and when they get startled they smell like poop ;o;

This is a millipede, not a centipede, they are very different. In fact centipedes eat millipedes. Cetipedes are quick, flat, and can sting if provoked. Millipedes are round, and slow, and just secrete a mild poison that will at worst make you vomit if ingested, but usually just makes you nauseous.
