I decided to try an absolutely different technique to the direct painting that I usually do, and this is the first result from the new batch of pics I'm currently working on. I have to say I'm really happy with it so far, it managed to reduce my time spent on a pic drastically, which was pretty much my main problem!

But yeah, like I said over there...
The quality is simply amazing: the hints of violet in the darks, the yellow tints in the light, the play with focus...
I just do simple cell shading, so seeing this...it's totally a different approach to toons. I really appreciate how people can do realistic shading on toony styles so well. It's hard to do, but you nailed it down.

I'm really honoured that you like my interpretation! I've always been into toons perceived realistically, but its always hard to find the right angle and ballance in so many things, it really makes me happy to get a positive feedback!
Oh and i love cell shading! I don't really think it's an easier form when you think about it, having to consider the light values, but also a shape of every shaded area, how they flow together, etc.. every style is a hard work! X.x

I swear! If I wasn't so bogged down with work from school, I'd be doing more fun and fuzzy stuff! I have projects set aside, but not much time to do them. I'm so burned out sometimes. DX
