It certainly is one of the spots for wasp galls to grow, but this would be the very first fluffy wasp gall I have seen in my life.

Yeah I always thought they were just like a cyst type thing.

And here I thought that wasps laid eggs like bees! I had no idea they were plant spores. You learn something new every day.

I thought it was mold from the thumbnail.

I have seen some weird looking mold, but it's usually not so round.

It's stuck to the bottom of that leaf you see there. The oaks are dropping leaves around this time. Also acorns on the metal roof, it sounds like it's hailing when the wind picks up.

LOOKS LIKE A HAIRBALL, most likely from a fox, let me know what kinda of wild life and flora exist in your nearby area and i could tell you more(could be a catipillar, seed pod, etc)

It's a gall of some sort attached to the underside of the leaf.

ah most likely spider, ant/wasp, or catapillar in origin then. or the spawn of said tree possibly, but most likely spider or catapillar in origin.

Yup that's them. Unfortunately it also doesn't say what insect.

they are one of any number of variety of tiny wasp(they are all made by a subtype of wasp though the number of verity of that was is fairly uncountable lol). the fuzzys are made by the PLANT because the parent wasp lays an egg and secrets some enzyme that tells the leaf/tree/plant to make a womb out of its genetic material for the wasp egg, its harmless to the plant, neither symbiotic nor parasitic kinda like a foster womb hahah. The wasp will consume the plant fibers the plant grows for it inside the womb. The variety of the gall(the coloration/texture etc) is determined by the plant it is placed on rather than the type of variety of the tiny wasp.
