Hm. :c I'm not very pleased with this at all. I know I've definitely improved, but not as much as I'd have liked. I know at the beginning of the year, I only got the colors like they were by upping the saturation. I always, always painted with desaturated colours back then for some reason, but now I feel I've become much better with colour and more comfortable with painting.
My style's become cartoonier (it came with the furries, I guess) and I don't necessarily mind that. I kind of feel like I'm getting closer to 'my style'.
I know that I definitely haven't drawn so much in a looong time, though. I've been drawing more than I ever have, and I actually really enjoy it. Before it seemed kind of like a chore, so I only really painted like once a month. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, anyway. I know it's probably not super inspiring, but take what you will!

I haven't watched you long at all, although I had stumbled on some of your work through favourites before.
Having said that, I can see the difference between your work at the start of the year and by the end. The main point is that you're obviously so much more comfortable with your use of colour. You've started being bolder recently going by this progress chart here. It isn't so much your technique that has drastically changed, but it makes all the difference being able to push your own boundaries (in this case, the bolder colour choices and extended ranges of colour in each piece). So you aren't the only one who can see it :3 I can see it too. Your strokes are also a lot more refined as a result of being more confident too, in my opinion.
I think that as an artist it's hard to really see your progress while you're progressing. I feel like I haven't gotten further with my art in ages, but if I bother to really look back through my gallery I start realising there -are- changes, and they might seem small but they seem to make a difference to my art. I spend all my time worrying that I just don't move forward significantly, but other people say they notice things changing so I have to just keep that in mind. I know I don't push myself either, so I cannot expect to change fast if I don't practice.
I am glad to hear that you are really enjoying your art too! I have been stagnant with mine for ages until recently, when suddenly I wanted to put work in to my own stuff. I think I got burnt out from taking commissions for months, I really couldn't be bothered to put the effort in to my own stuff cuz "it can wait". So it's good to see other artists really enjoying their art, I have seen it on my watch list a lot and it makes me happy.
So uh yeah I hope you don't mind me saying all that, I thought maybe it'd reassure you or something *hides* :3

Thank you so so much! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your art as well! :) I'm kind of concerned about getting burnt out by commissions in the future, but right now I'm not getting a whole lot, so hopefully my muse will stick around! :) I appreciate this a lot, thank you very much.
Thankyou! I'm very dedicated to reaching my potential. :)
