These are basically a collection of my philosophical thoughts. You are, of course, allowed to agree or disagree.
Just be civil. That's all I ask.

genesisw, however, all quotes are mine. Don't bother her with them. :)

I don't think I have as big of a problem with needles as you appear to, and the site of blood doesn't phase me. I'd still not going to let someone prick me without a good reason though. I've only been to two countries - the US and Canada. I have a bit of stage freight, whether there are few or many people around.
I pretty much agree with all the moral and philosophical statements and opinions you made though. Actually, they are too logical and full of common sense to not agree with them.

Reminds me more of "We Are All One/God/Christ. Be Here Now. All One, All God, All Together. Be Here Now"

GEN!! GEN!! YOU FORGOT ONE!!
"Leaning to forgive others is one of the most important things you need to learn in life. A man who bears grudges all his life has chains on his heart. Forgiveness frees your heart."
GO BACK AND FIX IT!!!
*ducks and runs*
I'm joking, Gen. I said you could leave off any you wanted.

Maybe subconsciously. Overtly, I'm not aware of making any excuses, except perhaps an insistence that "I don't know why I do..." and then fill in the blank. Thankfully, I'm at least committed to improving, and it helps to know I've gotten better. I just need to figure out what step is next, or at least get in touch with God so he can tell me. At least I've got options.
Well, that's the eternal struggle, isn't it? Nobody ever does anything they think is wrong at the time. If they thought it was wrong, they would not do it. There is a stronger motivation that is telling them it isn't wrong at the same time (hence my truism about multiple motivations). Just keep trying. It may look like you aren't making progress, but just think of Jacob and his struggle with the Angel. He was totally defeated, but refused to surrender.
Two sexes actually makes logical sense, if you think about it this way:
If you only needed one human to reproduce, the species would be mostly stagnant except for random mutations.
If you needed three humans to reproduce, you need a group of at least five to ensure a coupling can form; if four, at least seven.
With two, you have variation by selection, and you can ensure a coupling possibility with three or more.

As I've said previously, genetic diversity is a good argument for hermaphrodism, but not a bi-sexual species. With a bi-sexual species you effectively have two species who are mutating in parallel. Remember that things still have to fit.
Often the arguments used to explain what we see carry with it an assumption that we already know how we got there. The process of getting there gets forgotten. Also, a sense of direction is assumed in a system which is supposed to be mindless.

Oh, heavens, no. With true hermaphrodism, you run the risk of having both partners pregnant at the same time, impacting their ability to hunt and gather. With set genders, one member of the pair is guaranteed not to become pregnant, and so remains available to provide. That's why the dual genders remain a constant in fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds. It's simply the best compromise between genetic diversity and practical concerns.
On the contrary; hunting and gathering exist at the asexual level of bacteria. (It's perfectly logical; a static organism will eventually run out of food, while a mobile organism, though it must consume more, is better able to locate and make use of resources.)
So, since hunting and gathering are proven to exist at the asexual level of life, my hypothesis remains valid.

I'm sorry, but it's called "survival of the fittest", not "survival of the weakest". The system is superior because it produces a better end result; if it produces a better end result, it will displace less superior options wherever possible. That's straight from Darwin, so I don't see how it's against evolution.
The evolution of sex is a heavily discussed project, but to say that an answer will not be found is appeal to ignorance and to argue hat it doesn't make sense to you is appeal to incredulity. Suggesting it has something to do with God's nature is not only a red-herring it is incongruent assuming the abrahamic definition of that (not that it was coherent to begin with, but it still isn't mentioned in the definition).
Okay, there are several flaws in your reasoning.
I've never said that an answer will not be found. Only that it hasn't. That is not a logical fallacy.
To say that it doesn't makes sense to me is not intended to be a logical argument, only a statement of fact. It DOESN'T make sense to me.
And again, suggesting that it has something to do with God's nature is only a statement of opinion, not a logical argument.
In fact, the reason why the statement begins with the words "To me" is to make it clear that this is a statement of opinion, not a logical argument.

I agree with many of these, but I felt the need to open my big fuckin' mouth and point out ...
pedophobia (a fear/intense dislike of children) usually has little to do with self-hatred or anything of the sort. I, myself, don't like children because I know I tend to get very impatient with them, causing them to feel hurt. It's not an aspect of myself I've had much luck changing, and frankly I don't much care to because I have never wanted children. So I avoid other people's kids to avoid doing them unintentional harm. I also have a friend who is legitimately terrified of kids. knows it doesn't make sense, acknowledges the ridiculousness of it, but still has adrenaline spikes when near children, especially loud ones. I doubt very much she has any sort of self-loathing hiding in her psyche that caused that.
as for the rest of it ... I can get behind most of it, although I don't believe in any deities ... but that's a personal thing.

Woah, I agree with almost everything you have there... and the couple I didn't immediately say "I agree" on were just smaller things I'd never thought about like the "Two Sexes" idea or 'Baby Colours' or the needles (I've had too many samples taken and needles in the last decade to be too stressed anymore) but I definitely cannot enjoy talking to a crowd... I do it at times and still break out in a cold sweat before hand!

Whether the commentators here have agreed or disagreed, or have outright trolled you, nobody can deny that it takes courage to share your honest, personal opinion about things. Especially matters as serious as these, and especially if you know some of them may upset some of the more sensitive readers.
It's an admirable trait that more of us should have, and you have my respect for it.

Thank you! I find that being honest with people works best.
Fortunately, I also know when to hold my tongue....most of the time. And I have the toenail marks on my tongue to show when I didn't. :)
