A good example of my blue pencil work!
I've tried for so many styles at conventions now, and I always feel like I have too many options. I found that I draw quickly, and well with blue pencils. So I'm sure I'll be sticking to this, and possibly inks. Depending on how quickly cleanly I can do them!
I figure this guy is part dragon from a spell or the swords he uses. The more he uses them the more dragonian he'll become! Haha I dunno, just kind of a random design I kinda dig.

They're oddly smoother! It's been a weird transition, since graphite can be so clean and precise. Blue pencils also are sorta UN-eraseable unless you're really gentle so it forces you to really think about where to put your lines. If I take the color out it looks like a regular pencil drawing too. Softly shades without making a mess as well, I always smudge graphite!
Mind you I'll never leave graphite, but blue pencil is great for con work!

Maybe I'll give a shot. Big problem I've got is that I'm -very- heavy handed, even with my sketches. I switched to using 4H graphite to compensate. It's sufficiently light enough that I can erase it without leaving too many noticeable construction lines, but using something to help me train me for more precise lines wouldn't hurt.
After keeping this on my submission page for the past week I have liked it more and more each day so it gets a +fave.
The character design and background in itself is quite interesting but for me this one of those occasions where a stocky body done the right way is quite attractive. I really like the idea where the character or person is wearing a robe, bath robe or housecoat with only underwear or fundoshi beneath. The thing that "does it" for me in this picture is how the robe is parted, showing off a noticeable treasure trail, the bulge and a pair of very nice muscular legs that I'd love to touch and rub, (as long as I didn't get a chop that is!)
This might be a good character that I could use as a template to design one that I'm putting together for a later appearance in Savannah Spots.

I'm always really flattered when you like a character I draw/concept, Believe me, whenever I draw the calves and legs on a male your work always comes across my mind. Weird, but you have such a great handle and appreciation of them yourself it drives me to try harder!
I'm sure he's the type of guy who likes a bit of attention, may be a bit arrogant, but enjoys it all the same! He got a lot of love so I may do more with him! We'll see :D

Sometimes its not always easy to get to every comment and a few can be missed in the process so no probs, better late than never.
It's good to hear that I have inspired you to try harder with your work, especially in the lower body areas where my attention likes to go when I see an attractive looking character. Good lower body detailing is not always easy to master because for some its like weight training, many people hate to train the legs so they sometimes get overlooked or given the minimal effort. Its good to hear you might do more on this character as there would probably be a pretty good story to go with him and in his more relaxed moments might allow an admirer to worship that body.
