**Set in a furry-naruto-ish sorta world***

Spring looked up from the wounded Summer, the polar bear's fire attack having been turned back on her by the Chameleon Jonin their sensei was currently holding back. As her mind recognized what, or rather who, she was seeing, everything seem to become far more surreal.

She had always seen Fen with a smile on his face, even on missions his grin would be there, defiant of all obstacles. The gray vulpine she saw rising a imploded tree trunk, white fire forming a tomoe fire wheel behind while a second blue trio of yin aura formed in at his right hand.

She had heard her father speaking once of kitsunin (fox ninja) using such techniques, drawing not from the elements but from the energies that MADE the elements to unleash absurd attacks, but always those stories began or ended in tragedy.

As she looked at her comrade, her friend, her nakama, whose eyes were burning with vengence, she hoped against hope that the wounds her team had endured constituted as the former.

As the two powerful ninja paused their duel to take notice of the rising gray fox, a snarl that became a voice, as it echoed in the minds of those present, rolled out of Fen's mouth.

"You....Will...NOT....HARM...MY...FRIENDS!!"

Artist notes:
I should NOT have colored the tomoe in his hand, that I am SURE off... it didn't help that I colored the line art.. .that was a bad move....oh well.. live and learn. Still this was my first time adding a bg with a non layer program, it work well (tag teaming a photo editor and MS paint)
