Forgive the shoddy sketches. I really must figure out a better way to get my sketches onto the computer, using a fax machine as a scanner is doing me no favors.
About Beers:
Beers don't exactly fight like bears or like deer. Generally beers are social animals, but during hard winters may become territorial and are also aggressive during rut. At those times beers will fight. Typically they face each other and try to intimidate the other by standing up on their hind legs while swiping the air. If one beer does not back down they will charge each other. Charging beers will either lock antlers or grapple depending on the season. They have very powerful forelimbs that are capable of vicious swipes with large heavy paws and long claws. With beers it's a power struggle about weight, the biggest beer can push around it's challengers. Because of their long strong forearms it is extremely unusual for a pair of beers to tangle their antlers and starve.
