*points to the timber wolf with it's massive, weight displacing paws* Really? Enlighten me.
Any beast that lives in an area where deep snow is common has two things: a winter coat of fur and huge paws to act as snowshoes and displace their weight.
This is true of predator and prey alike, *points to a snowshoe hare* there really is no place for speciest bias.
To wit; a margay would sink just as fast as a fox.

Oh if you want it scanned in you might take it to a professional printers as they have scanners but for a fee. Ask them to scan at the highest resolution and they'll give you a dvd of it. From there you can do a image manipulation and increase the detail with additional work if you want or print out a few A2 copies and sell them.
It might be worth getting together with a few other artists and doing a few printouts on a hired large format printer.
