It was a great pleasure and honor to draw the con book cover for this year's EF! I loved the theme and had fun with it, so I did a few other pictures as well (which I'll be posting soon). It was very strange/cool to see so many people walking around with my drawing in their hands! :O

GOD I love absolutely everything about this cover! I remember sitting in my hotel room staring at it for ages, I just love all the different characters' expressions and obvious personalities :D fab work as always Henrieke!
So sayeth the otter to the badger. Who then quipped. "And the recruiter said the pension plan is great. Provided you live to collect it."
Love the details! The otter and badger goofing off in the back are so cute.
Awesome! And wonderful job getting the armour right...chain mail was the main armour used, not the plate x3
It's just that plate armour looks nicer on drawings! I partly based the style on Astérix, the con being European and all, and me being a big fan, but wanted to make the armour a bit more accurate, though very simplified. I did two other pictures in the con book, one having armor from an earlier era (showing a Roman with one of Hannibal's warriors), and one that shows a later era, from 200-300 or so, showing a draconarius. They're very simplified cartoons but it makes my day when people can tell I put research in my work (I'm not a historian though so it wouldn't surprise me if stuff is off- but heck, they're cartoon animals :P)
I love Asterix! I read the German versions of the comics when I was learning german in highschool :)
And yes, you did a good job. Some stuff is off, but it doesn't matter since it's just a cartoony version (and I was quite glad to see lorica hamata, lemme tell yah xD). It looks great, and makes me wish I could attend Eurofurence x3

And the little barbarian canine will try to hold off the legion with a very pointy stick of a knife.
Love the picture, especially how the soldiers in the front are all serious, but the ones in the back look happy and chatty. I like to think the otter and the badger are exchaning recipes.
This is awesome! It reminds me of The Saga of Atlas and Axis a lot.
This is such a great homage to Asterix too. I have to get the comic collection now. :o
I love the Asterix vibe and all the details :)
Asterix is one of my favourite cartoons :)

This is great, I love how progressively reluctant the characters get, and then the otter and badger look like they don't even know what's happening.
http://www.kajito.de/images/ef_henrieke.jpg Tadaa! Next to your Tintin pictures :3
Wow! I'd totally say it came from an Asterix comic book. Awesome!
*paints his fur black before he sharpens his Axe* I´ll hunt me some romans tonight >:3
All Gaul is conquered!
All? No! One small convention still holds out against the invaders...

Not just a homage to Asterix - it also has an air of "Topolino" in the setting and layout here. SO COOL
