So it's finally done. Needs a proper chainring...but that's it. built out of free and spare parts for the most part, except the fork.
I was originally gonna go geared on it....but I said fuck it and went SS(Singe speed) the spacers for the rear cog are home made...probably brass. My dad turned it on a lathe....it's a bunch of mis match parts....brakes being the most obvious.
Hayes brakes(Front is hydraulic with 7''rotor, rear is mechanical with 6'' rotor), Marzocchi drop off fork, Shimano rear mech, SRAM chain, SRAM cranks, Bontrager "Crowbar" handlebars, Mavic wheels on SHimano hubs. Maxxis tires, Dirty lock on grips.
hoping to ride it soon when I get a new chainring....

Hmm! You seem like a bike fanatic. You might be interested in what became of my previous (though pretty new) bike a few months ago~

I was rear ended on my way to the park with the bike on the back of my car. Bike was totaled. Made me sad.

Nope. Cept for perhaps the seat, the tires, and a chain. Other person's insurance covered getting a completely new bike. Now I have a new one, of the same thing, just a different color. lol
The insurance company was supposed to pick my broken bike up to salvage parts themselves but they determined it wouldn't have been worth the effort.

The frame was definitely twisted. Insurance company required me to take it to the bike store I bought it from and have the manager sign off on if it was repairable or not. They laughed at how sad it was. lol
The rear hub seemed to have broke as the frame twisted, it didn't pop out of the frame cleanly. One of the brake rotors was believed to be slightly bent also, as was smashed into my car. The mechanical brakes were possibly alright. Also I am sure the top handle bar made it out alright.
