Oh, she may still try this routinely. I'm not sure if Shep is doing this in context, but the political intrigue of the times would put Anna in a dangerous position. Inside the castle, she's tolerated for her preference. As a bargaining chip, she won't fetch as much, and children are only bargaining chips for political marriage as they are property.
