Cutting back on alternate galleries
As some of you may know, I have a whole bunch of alternate galleries that I crosspost to with Postybirb. At the time that I set them up, I was all excited about using Postybirb, and I thought that having my work saved in a bunch of backup places would be a good thing.
But, I've come to realize that, even with such a useful tool, having this many galleries makes posting new art a big hassle (especially if there's a story attached, as most of these sites are pretty inconsistent about how stories are posted.) And on most of these sites, I get very little response to my art. So, for my own sanity, I'm thinking about paring down the places that I post to. I would probably cut Furry Network, Inkbunny, Itaku, Newgrounds, Pixiv, SoFurry, and Weasyl. Many of these galleries are really cool, with neat features, but there just isn't really enough motivation for me to keep putting as much work as I do into maintaining them.
That would leave me with Fur Affinity as my main "gallery" site. I would still post to Bluesky, Mastodon (gulp.cafe instance), and my Telegram channel. I would also post to Tumblr (for nostalgia's sake if nothing else) and Twitter (at least for now), and I'll continue to update the Drive gallery backup.
Is there anyone who would have any objections to any of this? Any particular sites you really like following me on? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Personally, I enjoy FA's interface and find it easy enough to see any work or journals you put up. The folders make it easy to peruse around and FA functions like a gallery which is great. If there's any older work (assuming FA doesn't do any more strange purge things), it's simple to view it here. Hope this helps!
Questionable with it's rules at times
If you post it on other platforms, I probably won't see your stuff.
In my experience, the more I spread out and generalize my efforts, the less focused and lower quality work I do... so I stopped. But that's me, and just one perspective. I'm not Disney, and I don't need and probably can't benefit from the additional 5% market share I might pick up if I start putting time into tiktok or instagram.
1. You get enjoyment from drawing.
2. You enjoy feedback.
3. To get feedback you need to get exposure.
4. To get exposure you need to put work out there.
5. Now you spend more time getting out there than actually drawing.
