I hit up the link and saw the page briefly, then the redirect to a login page. TwittX heavily restricts how much non-members can read, supposedly as a defense against bots scraping its content.
Sure, I could just click 'sign up' using my Google account, but I don't really want to interact with that platform beyond watching it's recurring nuclear dumpster fires from a safe distance.
This was also at the same time they implemented a daily rate/view limit for logged-in users. They backed off a tiny bit, so unregistered users can still see individual posts like the one I linked above but it won't show any replies; can only view the feed of certain select users and it's sorted by most viewed tweets not chronological, trying to look at anything else gets "please sign in" with no way out.
They were already trying this before twitter got bought out, around 2021 they made it prompt you to log in after scrolling down for a short while with a close button to keep going, then they got rid of the close button but you could still "sign in" -> "cancel" to close it. Was very annoying trying to find an old tweet...
