Month Review - 3 & [COMMISSIONS OPEN]
Posted 6 months agoHello everyone! It's that time again, so let's get to it.
This concludes my third month as Curious Starchaser! That's my first quarter and so now I will switch the journal over to quarterly updates. It more professional that way, don't you think?
The word to sum up this month is "education." In total I only put out 5 pieces, if I ignore my scraps, and that's a slow down. It's in part because I wanted to really challenge myself with the pieces I was doing. But I did more than what you saw. I have been practicing concepts and doing studies to improve my skills. I have also made it a routine to balance fundamental training and creation so that I can bring you the best art I can.
My reach expanded not once, but twice. The first was me opening my bluesky account and the second is opening my Carrd. And, yup, that's right, I'm finally opening up commissions. It's time to start the next phase of this journey and I'm so glad to have you all along with me in it. As a part of this I will be broadening the topics of my art, but don't worry I'm still going to be drawing Kemono stuff too!
That's it for this review. Until next time!

Month Review - 2
Posted 7 months agoGreetings everyone! Today is Friday the 13th and I have some words on that, but first the review.
If I was to categorize this month with one word that word would be "experimentation." I only put out 9 pieces, because life got a little busier and somewhere along the way I forgot I wanted to get faster. The pictures I'm making are still far from the ones in my heart and head, but I'm getting better with every piece. I also grew my network by opening up my twitter @CuriousStarArt
Thank you for sticking around watchers and welcome to those who joined this month! I hope you'll enjoy what's to come as I continue to grow and explore.
---
Now for the Friday the 13th note. 716 years ago today, Friday October 13th 1307, the Knights Templar were arrested by King Philip IV of France. He hoped to seize their vaulted riches to pay debts as they were operating as a proto-bank. They were accused of heresy and given a farcical trial, tortured, and executed for the greed of King Philip and the debts he accrued in his failed military campaigns. Many of the riches were absconded away and fell out of the king's hands. It wasn't until 2007 that the Vatican declared the Templars innocent. I can't tell you for certain if that's why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky, but it's a notable event therein.
Okay! That's all for the review and a little bit of interesting history given the day!

Month Review - 1
Posted 8 months agoHi everyone! Curious here to reflect on my first month.
I think it has been a big success and gives me hope for continued growth! I want to thank everyone who visited my page, favorited my pieces, commented, and, of course, watched me. I hope I continue to create pleasing art for all of you. I would also like to thank all the people who left me shouts as it really makes the page look lively and colorful. I wont shout thanks for obvious reasons, but know you're in my thoughts when you do!
This month I put out 14 pieces. Some I liked more than others, but they were all great learning experiences. I will continue to refine my style as we go forward, make cute little characters like Tiny Cutpurse Felicia, and introduce more lore about The Starchasers. Who are they? Well it's the wider OC that Felicia, Elena, and her still unseen brother are a part of! I would say more, but just stay tuned for the pictures and read their descriptions if your interest is piqued. There's a plan, I promise!
That sums it up I think. More art to come. Until next month!

About Me
Posted 9 months agoHello everyone. I'm Curious Starchaser and you're on my page.
I hope you're not lost, but if you are I hope it's still a pleasant stay.
So who am I?
I'm just a run-of-the-mill artist who wandered into the community to make art and commissions.
What do I make?
I do more than draw, but here it's visual art! Kemono, kemonomimi, human art, fantasy art, and more. And a tiny bit of music I've composed.
I am also open to experimenting in new styles and mastering new techniques.
I want a commission!
Availability, price, and everything else about my commissions can be found on my Carrd so head there if you are interested.
Do I trade art?
I am selective about art trading, but open to the idea if I am a fan of your work. Feel free to DM me about it.
