Reworking my gallery folders
Posted 6 months agoDecided to bite the bullet and begin reworking my gallery folders via individual species, grouped via character. They've always felt a bit messy to me, so hopefully this change will make finding a specific form you might enjoy just that bit easier.

BACKLOG FINISHED! FINALLY! + Signal Boost!
Posted 7 months agoHot damn I didn’t think I’d be able to bring myself to it before 2024, be it from overstress, business, demotivation, or a combination of the three- but here we are, all caught up. I’m sorry to say that I haven’t really commissioned much nearing the end of my “to- upload” checklist (been struggling financially as well), but I guess I should be happy with what I have currently.
Also, I feel I should really shine some light on OlympusMTP. They’re a rather kind person who also happens to have a sona rather similar to Kreo.

FA’s Upcoming Changes
Posted a year agoYou’ve heard this story before; FA mods dumb and hypocritical, blah blah blah.
But seriously a blacklist would’ve been an infinitely better solution to this problem (especially after they had already promised it, TWICE) rather than let your staff cherrypick what stays and goes. I feel as if no matter how much clarification you try to provide, there will always be outliers.
I’m pretty sure my gallery is safe, but my sincere condolences to all the galleries that didn’t deserve to be caught in the wake of this purge.
Get a grip, mods.

Page Reminder
Posted 2 years agoHey all,
Just a reminder that I'll continue being inactive with postings on my profile until FA adds all of those features they promised forever ago but still haven't so much as given an update on.
This includes
- Responding to Favorites
- Responding to Watches
- Responding to Notes (unless prompted otherwise)
- Updating the checklist
And of course, any additional postage of art.
I WILL still respond to comments now and then, however.
Honestly, hearing about Entail from my friends for a while now, it seems like a much more solid and well- run site compared to FA. If things do go well in Entail's favor, I'm definitely jumping ship, and to any who would be interested, I'll post the link to my profile there in this journal if and when that happens.
EDIT: It seems development for Entail ceased, which is quite unfortunate. However, it seems like FA is starting to focus on improving site functionality over image for once, so I s'pose I'll start posting again once some of those much- needed additions start rolling in.
Thank you, and goodbye.

Regarding my commissioned Flash animations
Posted 3 years agoSince Flash was taken down, I've provided links to each through Subscribestar, allowing further viewing. You can find them on each post.
Paranoia
Posted 4 years agoI feel like there are some people out there stealing my art and posting it off as their own/in places where it garners the poster more attention. I've already had a very considerable lack of comments and activity on my uploads in general, and that said lack of activity seems to become more and more noticeable as time goes on. So, for the sake of a test, any art I commission henceforth will no longer be uploaded onto FA, at least for a while.
Varying Dwellings
Posted 4 years agoAside from the ocean of self- deprecative thoughts I perceive others having towards me and/or my sona(s), these few in particular stuck out to me, so I thought that maybe someone will come along and answer them for me in the comments. Also because no one really bothers criticizing openly on this site.
Be warned, there's hints of venting in these as well.
1. Should Kreo's day and night forms be separate sonas?
I'm aware that Kreo's day and night forms look vastly different, and I have also had trouble trying to find some way to squeeze it into his backstory that would be meaningful, let alone commission art showing why and how this occurred. I have thought of this possibility numerous times, as well as dwelt on the name, personality, and backstory of this counterpart as well, but I found myself to be a bit bad at coming up with reliable names, and too hesitant with following through on this decision in general.
2. Despite my variety with artists and their differentiating styles, do I commission too much of Kreo?
I imagine there could be some of you sticking by my page and getting tired of seeing Kreo so much. Heck, there could be someone wandering by and say, "Man, this guy gets way too much art of his one sona out of three." I have also kept telling myself that I'd commission more art of Rhaun or Firgale when I had the chance, but STILL haven't gotten to doing it yet. I understand that "it's my sona" and "I can do what I want with them" but I still feel kind of guilty leaving my other two sonas in the dark. This one is mostly out of conflict and paranoia.
3. Should I stop asking about people getting partner commissions with me?
I've been asking around my friend group if anyone were ever interested in grabbing a partner comm with me, splitting the price 50/50. Unfortunately almost no one has ever really had the interest nor money to account for it- which is probably why you see so much singular art in my gallery- unless the picture is paid 100% by me or if they're an artist and I pay in full. This might just sound like a gripe to some of you reading this, but it kind of stinks when commissioning art is one of your hobbies, and numerous friends around you gloat to you about how generous their friends are with drawing or commissioning free art for them, purely as an act of just being kind. I'm not asking for consolation; the main point of this question is if I should stop asking and bothering people about it, in general.
But what do you think? Feel free to jot down anything in the comments, or just delete the journal, I guess.

Shinies
Posted 5 years agoWelp, this'll become the new hip n' easy way to pay artists. I can just tell.
Who knows, maybe people can send me some shinies after my agreement to commission partner art with them. Or maybe to just show some support or simply out of the hell of it. I don't even know if people read my journals nowadays.
Either way, this seems like a pretty neat new feature, props to the managers.

The "Peacekeepers"
Posted 5 years agoPart 2
Stranded S pecies
A.k.a. "Making peace for the greater good of us all."
The S.T.E.R.U. (Space- Traveling Evolutionary Robot Units)
Somewhat distant relatives of Zealous's ancient Elders. Uses advanced tech to change their appearances and behavior to be fairly similar to that of the species they observe around them. Well- equipped to scan for valid alien resources. Landed on Zealous equipped with weapons meant only for self- defense. Observable height is approximately 1.68 meters. Life Expectancy: Indeterminable. Reproduction method is asexual; replication.
Previous Purpose: Gather minerals from planet Zealous and deliver to planet [UNKNOWN], incapacitate hostile targets.
New Purpose: Continue mining and supplying needed minerals to planet inhabitants, maintain peace and the economy.
Threat Level on Arrival: Moderate
The Furfolkians
Anthropomorphized space- pirate animals, mostly from the canid and felid families. While previously not the brightest of species- oriented groups, their battle- scarred tech and brute strength have often made up for it. Have grown into a more righteous species throughout their time spent on Zealous with the other species. Landed on Zealous equipped with both offensive and defensive capabilities, often meant to fill roles. Average height is approximately 1.6 meters. Life Expectancy: 70-120 Eyrs. Reproduction method is the same as a human, however [REDACTED] has been shown.
Previous Purpose: Gather minerals from planet Zealous, eradicate any other nearby targets for loot and materials.
New Purpose: Establish towns and cities across the planet; spread as a species and assist other sentient species in need.
Threat Level on Arrival: High
The Eknimaval
Tall pitch- black creatures resembling humanoid silhouettes, with the exception of elongated arms, legs, and midsection- the arms having a similar texture to that of an Earth sloth. The bodies of these beings have a grey apparition- like smoke emanating off of their bodies, which dissipates only a few inches off of it. The smoke is odorless and tasteless. Facial features consist of two glowing white singularities for eyes, and another glowing white combination of lines maintaining the shape of a mouth/lips. They have four canine- type teeth in total- two on the top, two on the bottom. Despite this, they are considered omnivores. Aside from their ghastly appearance, they are known to be relatively quite docile, showing a shared curiosity towards fashion and a love for nature. They are quite fast on their feet, and while they aren’t capable of dealing heavy blows with their claws, they are able to deal consecutive slashes to a target, but only in an act of dire need and/or self defense. Otherwise, they will choose to flee. Landed on Zealous via a meteor launched from a neighboring planet. Gender is self- decided. Average height is 1.98 meters. Life Expectancy: 400-1,000 Eyrs. Reproduction method: Unknown. WARNING: THIS SPECIES IS EXTREMELY SUSCEPTIBLE TO ENVIRONMENTS WITH LOW/NO LIGHT.
Previous Purpose: Slay any targets in sight. (No cases recorded)
New Purpose: Assist Furfolkians in structural expansion, maintain a normalized lifestyle with other races, help with woodland and ocean expeditions.
Threat Level on Arrival: Low
Scarlet Cataclysm
Gathering Manor (Icy Heights)
Said to have been used by a survivor of the elemental apocalypse that plagued the planet eons ago, this oddly- shaped chainsword has stood the test of time. While pure dark and corrupted elements flow wildly throughout the entirety of this object, it proves to only invigorate the user tremendously, yet also bestows a feeling of pure insanity through extended use- almost as if the crazed nature of the original user is clouding and possessing the minds and bodies of those most unaware of the weapon's properties. The bottom of the hilt seems to look a bit off, however...
Solar Bequest
Grove Mansion (Mangled Groves)
A weapon that would be mistaken for rays of light due to how much the blades of this magnificent object glow, this sword possesses four individual severed blades that hover adjacently in parallel to where the blade is facing, almost like the length of a key. Despite the design, users have reported use of it has felt rather comfortable and agile. The sword itself seems to rely on users who have honed their skills only into the art of purity and light, while disregarding all other elements. Many have also speculated that this weapon is broken, and that only when the pieces of the blade are put together again shall this weapon’s true purpose show. This has yet to be seen. The bottom of the hilt looks rather peculiar, however...
