Stuff
Posted 8 years agoFirst of all thanks Dragoneer for getting me my account back lol.
Secondly for those interested, I added a new thing to the Patreon, if you're in the second tier you can get all my shit as I make it rather than at the end of the month. There's a longer post on Dumblr if you wanna read into it.
Thirdly posts are on Mon/Wed/Fri nao. This was gonna be for just sketches but 2 schedules is dumb imo.
Now let's get caught up here..

2014, Tumblr Account, Streaming and More
Posted 9 years agoIf you've been wondering why my activity here has seemed to wane over the past months, it's because (irl factors aside), I've been focusing on teaching myself a better understanding of how to sketch - as that has always been my weakest attribute. Part of the reason why I am so slow is my work is often met with "it could be better" by me, and the only way to amend this is to solidify the basics and work up from there. I strive for higher quality than that which I can comfortably produce, and although that's a good thing artistically, it slows me down. And it's magnified for paid work.
This place is my archive for finished pictures, and I didn't want to flood it with sketchwork. (Doing dumps as I used to would still be a flood - I've done a LOT of sketchwork over the past year.) So, I created a Tumblr in secret where I could archive my progress. Word eventually got out, but I never revealed it here. So since this is the anniversary of this account I'm going to break the rules a bit.
If you enjoy my work and are interested in what I do between postings, my sketches, and what is essentially my little playground, the Tumblr is meaconscientia.tumblr.com . This is also where I announce when I do streams on weekends.
Good luck, I have a lot of surprises in store for you fucks this year.

Because I'm not--
(Cut off time 12:00, 12/4/12) I have like 10 more notes to comb through since yesterday and classes today, I'll get back to you all at some point tonight or early tomorrow!
Currently focusing on: Like 3 people at once, help me I'm dying aaa.
Process
This is going to be tricky. Many people have inquired during my closure and I want to give everyone who's interested an equal 'chance' I guess, instead of first-come-first-serve.
I am only going to take one at a time for now instead of juggling multiple paintings at once. Big first-come-first-serve waiting lists just make a mess imo, plus if my previous opening along with events since then are any indication it would probably become too much to handle within the first hours of me posting this. So, In order to make it less time-dependent, I'm just going to start with the offer with the best ratio between "how much you'll pay me" and "how much fun I'll have painting it", and work out from there.
This "one person at a time thing" doesn't apply to those of you who have ordered from me in the past (either on here or elsewhere), however, there's a separate "spot" so you needn't sit in the regular line.
Send me a note with a description (with as many specifics as you can muster) of what you'd like to see and how much delicious green you're willing to shovel at me for it. That's it, really. I'll get back to you with a yes/no/maybe when I comb through my inbox later tonight.
The creation process isn't very complicated either:
>Note me.
>Receive yes.
>Receive sketch.
>Send me what adjustments you desire.
>Repeat to perfection.
>Receive painting preview.
>Send me what adjustments you desire.
>Repeat to perfection.
>Send me money.
>Receive full resolution.
>>Laugh or cry at the "joke" version I may or may not upload if I have the time to paint it (if you don't mind, of course).
Tl;dr: I'm not finished until you say I am.
I've had no problems with this method yet, so..
I'm going to attempt to do one per week, but these monstrosities take time and I have college to juggle, so bear with me.
Also give me some time to respond to anything, I'm mainly active in the evenings and on weekends (mainly Sunday evening), but even then I'm busy with study/work more often than not.
Limits
Everyone has their little "comfort zone" and I'm no exception.
>No scat.
>No Jarate.
>No gore unless it's a joke.
>No non-humanoid or hard vore.
Anything else is fair game for the right price, really.
Pricing
$80-120 seems to be a reoccurring theme in what people tell me, so, base price is $100 for a full painting. I'm confident that if you're here you are most likely familiar with my work, and know what that entails (one/two characters, full background, etc).
Flash is difficult and time consuming. And really, the amount of work involved varies obnoxiously with character complexity, frames, frame rate, effects, backgrounds, scenes, audio syncing, how much ActionScript I need to code for it, etc. Same rules as above, only I don't really have a set price yet. If you really want one of these we can work something out.
>Would you color this sketch I commissioned from this other guy?
Yes. As long as the sketcher is cool with it.
>Do you have a Tumblr?
Nope.
>Can I have your brush?

Ignore the density setting, it varies between 20-100.
>Do you RP.
No. Pls stop asking this lol.
>Can I put my commission on my gallery?
As far as I'm concerned, this stuff's yours as soon as you pay me, so whatever floats your boat man. A link back is, of course, appreciated though.
>Are you willing to work >_> <_<; privately?
Yes.
>What program do you use?
Everything is done in Sai.
>Why the Youtube links?

Commissions
Closed--!
I am horridly slow with getting back to people who aren't my current "focus"; just give me tiiiiiime~. I'm a busy student. Not responding to something immediately is usually just because I'm waiting for a better time to address whatever is in question.

>Mfw my inbox exploded today.
Okay, I keep being asked about commission work for this place, so I'm just going to journal it. I'm not quite sure where to go with this, so bear with me while I blather.
There are several reasons why I can't take art requests from FA. I appreciate if you enjoy my crazy painting, but I have enough on my todo list as it is.
Current focus:Loxley.
FA-related commission waiting list:
Soon.jpg
I don't think anyone slipped through when I combed through my PM's; if you and I had previously had a discussion and you're not on this list message me and I'll sort it out. Commissions will open back up once I bump this down to 1 or 2.
General Info
First things first, and I'm just going to be blatant, most OC furry porn is outside my comfort zone. I know this is FurAffinity and all, but it's really not my thing (hence why my gallery is all Meloetta, with a few other Pokemon exceptions). Unless you're willing to shovel money at me I would rather spend the time on other projects. I work in more places than just FA.
I know that's a pretty foggy explanation, but in truth I'm not quite sure what my exact limitation is. So I'm just going to say don't be afraid to PM me an inquiry. The worst you'll get is a simple "no thanks". This sudden burst of interest has me feeling I should be picky, as well, so my apologies in advance if I decline.
Method
Just PM me with what you have in mind; I don't bite. A description and a price range to work with is all I really need.
Pricing
I don't really like the idea of setting my own prices, I always worry that I might charge too much or undersell my work. So, if you're interested in commissioning me, I'd prefer if you made the first offer and we can work it out from there on an individual basis. Chances are you know how the commission game works, just be fair about it and we can pull something together.
Roughly, the general jist thus far has been ~$70-100+ though.
Just Coloring
To me, coloring is the most enjoyable part of art (which is what this really is, for enjoyment), but it's also the most time consuming. If you bring me a sketch or some linework I'll gladly color it up for a lower cost than starting from scratch. I will probably be more lenient with what content I can take with this, as well.
Also, if you do note me, give me some time to respond. Most of my day is consumed by classes and work, so I don't check FA until the evenings.

Too much interest, lol. If you have already sent me a note as of today (March 20th) we're still in business. But I need to cut this ham for a bit so it doesn't get too chaotic.
