Current Status
Posted a year agoWell, we had our airbrush trailer at the New York State Fair in Syracuse and did pretty well. The location we had there wasn't the best, but we still had good sales. We are in Springfield, Massachusetts waiting for the start of the Big E Fair. We've been here for a few days and have been hanging out at the motor home. We had to get here early because the motor home has to get in position first before all the other stuff gets packed in around it. We are right on the main midway with the motor home. The guy we're helping here has four locations, and the location we ended up with is really bad. Nash and I were talking and don't think the traffic flow of people will be very good there, but it is what it is. Internet is spotty here. I am sad I missed Mephit Furmeet over Labor Day weekend. Draconis and I would go every year. I still miss that big lazy cougar. *sighs* Anyway... Nash and I are still doing well and surviving out here on the road. I really enjoy getting notes from my friends here, so please note me and let me know how you all are doing. I will try to get more Furry projects done soon. Y'all take care, and stay Furry.
Come Visit Me
Posted 2 years agoNash the Red Panda and I are going to be at the Big Butler Fair in Pennsylvania starting next Friday. It's not far from Pittsburgh. We will be in our newly renovated airbrush trailer. If you get the chance, come by and see us. We always enjoy seeing/meeting fellow Furries. If you want a shirt with your fursona on it, we can do that, too. I look forward to seeing y'all.
Myrtle Beach Again at Last!
Posted 2 years agoEveryone wanted to know when we got back to Myrtle Beach from our sojourn from Wild Nights in Oklahoma. We got in late last night (Monday night). We slept in. I had to do all the driving since Nash's tooth was bothering him. We went out this afternoon and picked up the remaining supplies to refurbish the trailer. I'll post progress pics soon. I did find out that my van is a gas-a-holic though. If anyone wants details of Wild Nights or the trip, just ask. I'll be working on the trailer for the next couple of weeks or so. Nash will be working at Paradise Airbrush that is on Broadway at the Beach while I do the renovations.
Back from Wild Nights
Posted 2 years agoNash and I are currently in Prattsville, Alabama in our transit to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We left Robber's Cave State Park on Tuesday and went first to Memphis for a bit to pick up a load of stuff from my house there for my move to Myrtle. The con went well. The con book I prepared with Nash came out fine. I put one of my stories in it and a collaborative bit of art that Nash and I came up with. The con tee shirts we produced were a hit and we also did many custom fursona shirts as well. The con attendance was small, but high enough to ensure that the con was in the black and will continue in the future. For anyone enjoying the outdoors and wanting to avoid the crush of a big con, you should seriously consider going to this one. I have been going since 2009. I think it was. Anyway, we have a long drive ahead for tomorrow. This is just to let everyone know we are alive and kicking. My first duty when I get back is to take Nash to the dentist, then start prepping the airbrush trailer for the road. Fun, fun. Nash will work down at the beach for a bit while I am getting the trailer in shape. We hope to start making many Furry cons in the near future as well as many fairs.
Back to Myrtle Beach
Posted 2 years agoI'm leaving to go back to Myrtle Beach in a few hours. I have been combing through my stuff at the house in Memphis, TN, trying to figure what to take back with me. I will be coming back through Memphis soon though on my way to Wild Nights Furry convention in Oklahoma. I miss my fellow Furries and a con will do wonders for me. My birthday is this coming Thursday, the 14th, and I will be celebrating with Nash the Red Panda and other friends at Captain George's restaurant, where I will be pigging out on all you can eat crab legs.
I don't know why, but I have an odd ominous feeling that something is about to happen, so everyone be careful out there. Peace and love for my Furry family.

Not Really a Sports Fan, but...
Posted 2 years agoI entered a bracket into the ESPN NCAA basketball tournament challenge, and am currently ranked 2826th. That sounds like it's low, but there were hundreds of thousands of entries and I am in a large group just below the leader board of the top 100. I just did this on a whim and don't really follow basketball, but my college, University of Memphis is in it, so... you know. I't won't amount to any prize unless I win virtually every last game pick, but I was just a little proud of how I was doing so far. Any one else enter a bracket?
It's Pi Day!

What? Snow?!!
Posted 2 years agoI know many of y'all will laugh about snow, but we don't get much snow in Memphis. We just had 4 inches at my house. How does that measure up with everyone else? Let me know below.
Back in Memphis... for a bit
Posted 2 years agoI've been back in Memphis for about a week now. It was crazy going from Ft Myers, Florida where it was about 80F and sunny to Memphis, TN where it was on the verge of a mild ice storm. I've been getting stuff together in the house that I'll be hauling on a trailer back to South Carolina. Nash stayed back in Florida to work a couple of small fairs. He'll be back in Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks, and I should be able to get back down there by then. The air brush trailer will be done shortly after my return.
I'll miss everyone in Memphis, but such is life. It's tough being in my old house. The ghost of Draconis haunts my thoughts still and it is depressing to think about it. I cannot look at a flamingo or a lawn chair without having an involuntary "Draconis will like this" moment, then I realize he is no longer here. Anyway... I'll close this journal and get back to packing stuff, tired as I am. Everyone be safe and I'll talk to y'all later.

Weirdness in Myrtle Beach
Posted 2 years agoWell, I've been in Myrtle Beach working on the trailer for about a week now. The weird weather continues. Myrtle Beach isn't known for cold weather, but we've had nothing but ice and snow here almost every day. It makes work difficult, but I almost have the trailer completely sanded down and ready for priming/painting. Nash and I are doing well as are his five sugar glider in their cage a few feet from where I sleep. I am looking forward to getting the trailer ready to put on the road so we can start making money. I'll post some pics when I get the primer on it. I hope everyone is well, and hopefully I will be ab le to make regular posts. Y'all take care. x
Oh...as a P.S., I think I may have someone ready to purchase my house in Memphis. If that happens, it will expedite my move to Myrtle Beach. Eddie Bear... If you read this... I want to catch up with you soon to eat and talk. No... I don't want to eat Eddie Bear. I just want to have dinner with hin *facepaws*

Headed Out Again... and other stuff.
Posted 2 years agoI'm headed out to Myrtle Beach in the morning. I'm catching a flight from Memphis, and have to be at the airport about 9AM. I'm going to help get the airbrush trailer ready for spring. I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to go to Tampa, Florida in February to work the fair. It depends on if I can get the trailer prepped in time.
I may have a buyer for my house in Memphis as well, so I may have to round trip back from Myrtle fairly quickly. I'll try to post some pics of progress on the trailer. Y'all take care.

Really Good News!
Posted 2 years agoMany of you all know that I worked with Nash the Red Panda this summer doing airbrush to make myself some desperately needed money. I was able to catch up my bills and then some. I saved as much money as I could all summer, and it looks like all the hard work paid off. Nash and I were able to purchase an inexpensive concession trailer so that we can be our own bosses. It will take a little effort to get the trailer prepared for the spring, but it will be mostly stuff we can do ourselves. The trailer needs painting and some vinyl. I can do vinyl and used to paint airplane parts, so we have that covered. There is a small amount of electrical that needs to be adjusted. Nash has that covered. The interior shelves and flooring I can do as I used to do remodeling work. The only thing we are having someone else do is put an extra axle on the trailer to beef it up for going on the road. Nash has a friend who is going to help with that, too. We will be ready in a couple of months. I will be posting pics soon.
The downside: We will have to handle all the taxes, paperwork, etc. ourselves. I have a friend who is an accountant, so we will get some good help with that, though. We will be on the road... a LOT. I have to sell my house in Memphis, and probably 99% of everything I have ever owned as I won't have a place to store it. I may have to stop doing print work. I will have to learn to appreciate "food on a stick".
The upside: We can do most of the trailer prep work ourselves. Once we get going, there will be much more money for us as opposed to working for someone else. We get to set our own schedules and will try to vend at Furry cons when it doesn't conflict with our fair schedule. I get to travel with my friend, Nash, on a grand adventure. I plan on getting Nash to teach me how to do some airbrushing. I can also do Photoshop work that will greatly aid the business. We will also do more online sales and some live streaming for you Furries who cannot make it to cons. I get to have all the "food on a stick" that I can eat.
For those of you who know my core principals, you know that I am all about supporting and promoting the Fandom. Nash has complimentary beliefs as well. We both just spent the last six months living in a motor home without a single argument. Before Draconis passed away, he, Nash, and I had been striving for the very situation Nash and I find ourselves in now. Nash and I dearly miss our friend, but finally, I believe that I can find happiness and completion in my life after all the horrible things and struggles I have endured the past few years. Wish us luck.

Merry Christmas, Y'all
Posted 2 years agoIn a few days, I will post a recap of 2021, which was the most tumultuous, life-changing year ever for this ol' Sabertooth. In the meantime, I want to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous holidays. *Hugs for all*
P.S. I am pretty much all alone at my house this year, so a note saying hello, or a shout would be most welcome.

I'm Back from my Sojourn
Posted 2 years agoI'm back in Memphis finally, and hopefully will be putting up some new stuff soon. I had a long, strange journey across the country. I started in Memphis, went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, then up to east coast to Buffalo, New York, then over to Rochester, then back to Syracuse before heading to Springfield, Massachusetts. Then we went to Raleigh, North Carolina, then waaaay over to Oklahoma for Wild nights, then up to Butler, Pennsylvania before heading down to Miami, Florida, back up to Myrtle Beach, and finally back home.
I didn't have much access to the internet while on the road, but I'll be home for a couple of months and will be more active. If you want to say "hi" I would appreciate it. I missed my Furry friends. *Hugs*

My Life Update
Posted 2 years agoI have been quite busy the past few months since Draconis' passing. I went down to Myrtle Beach to work with Nash the Red Panda doing airbrush, then we went on the fair circuit hitting Buffalo, NY, Syracuse NY, the Big E in Springfield, Mass. and finally Raleigh, North Carolina. I'm headed out later today to Wild Nights in Oklahoma as a Guest of Honor. I have the con books done and the shirts will be picked up in the morning. After Wild Nights, I will be headed home in Memphis for a couple of days, then I'm off to Miami for a fair down there. After that, I will either be going to Myrtle Beach or back to Memphis for a bit. It's been a crazy summer for me. Lots of highs and lows as well as humbling and life changing experiences. I love the Fandom more than words can express. I love the Furries in it. You all were there to help me up when I was probably at the lowest point in my life. I'm sorry I wasn't online much this summer, but it was necessary as I was getting myself back on track. Y'all take care. I'll be posting more soon.
At the NY State Fair
Posted 2 years agoI'm working with Nash the Red Panda at the NY State Fair in Syracuse doing airbrush right now. I'm on a working sabatical to get away from the passing of Draconis. I don't know where I would have been with out the tidal wave of love and support from the Fandom. I am quite humbled by the immense response. I miss you all right now. Internet is very sketchy here. I will be at Wild Nights in Oklahoma on Halloween weekend as a GoH. Yes... Airbrush will be available there. lol. Love you all. The Fandom is family to this ol' Sabertooth. *hugs*
Wild Nights GoH
Posted 2 years agoToday I was asked to be one of Wild Nights Furry Con's guest of honor along with a posthumous Draconis (Calamity Cougar). After some considered thought, I have accepted, as I know that Draconis would have wanted this. Tears fill my eyes as I write, because Draconis would have been so honored. Draconis and I have/had both put in many years of effort supporting Wild Nights, and for me, at least, I found the burden to be a joyous one and am humbled by the recognition. The past several weeks have been difficult for me since Draconis' passing. I "escaped" my house in Memphis and left to spend some time with my friend, Nash the Red Panda. I have been working with him as I posted in my previous journal, and he has asked me to go on the road with him to help with the fair circuit up in New England. I had to rearrange my schedule, but I will be at Robber's Cave State Park to honor my friend. Nash will accompany me as well. *Hugs to all*
Rebuilding My Facebook Account
Posted 2 years agoSince my Facebook account was hacked, I've been rebuilding it. Please, if you want to be friends there, send a friend request to Keefur Sabertooth. I'm getting by all right since Draconis' passing, but it's been difficult. Thanks to all my Furry friends, I'm through the worst of it. I'm still sad every day, and things keep triggering memories, but it's easier for me here in South Carolina in the short term. Not being in the house in Memphis has taken the edge off somewhat. *Hugs to all*
Working With Nash
Posted 2 years agoI'm working the airbrush store with Nash the Red Panda down on the boulevard at Myrtle Beach. It's brisk work all day and it keeps my mind occupied. We got back this evening about 3AM and I'll be working all day tomorrow and then have some time off. It's good therapy for me. Everyone thank Nash for helping this ol' Sabertooth out. Yay!
I'm in Myrtle Beach
Posted 2 years agoI made it down to Myrtle Beach with no problems on the flight. I'll start working tomorrow afternoon. It's very pretty down here. I remember this from when I was a kid. I'm feeling much better about things, and feel that my life is getting better again. I thank you Furs out there for this. *Hugs for all*
8 Hours and THANKS
Posted 2 years agoI have to get up in 8 hours to go to the airport. I have trepidations about leaving, but I know it will do me some good getting some distance from my pain.
I know I've said it before, and I cannot say it enough. THANKS FANDOM! You have salvaged this ol' Sabertooth and brought him back from the edge of extinction. The love and support has been overwhelming, and I will dedicate my life to doing things to make the Fandom a better place and to helping other Furries. I am deeply humbled by the avalanche of messages telling me that I can talk any time I want. I have had Furries tell me that I could come live with them, and I have had Furries offer to come see me from all over the country. Draconis would have been proud of you all. I mean that from the bottom of my little pink Sabertooth heart. <3 *Hugs for all*
I want to drop this here. Call it a prelude and a down payment to towards my promise to the Fandom. Pan Pan gave me a project shortly after Draconis passed. She did it to keep my mind off my sorrow. I did a parody of a song she suggested. We plan on making a video of it. The song is "Hooked on a Feeling" aka "Ooga-Chaka" by Blue Suede. I'm trying to remember the lyrics as I just realized that he song is in my other computer that is packed up already. This is also a first draft. I don't think I remember the lyrics I have done 100%, but you will get the idea of it. Best if you queue up the original song before you read the lyrics here though. It enhances the effect. My next post will be from South Carolina.

Fox tail that's quite randy
Dragon claws divine

Jaws from a Hyena
Saber teeth for sure
and to keep me warm
I'll have mammoth fur
Yellow wolf eyes

It's all powered

I I I I I have a fursona
with the neck of a llama
That what I want to be.

I Want Your Input
Posted 2 years agoBefore I leave for South Carolina, I wanted to ask everyone a question. Before Draconis passed away, we were actually working on something. I'm in tears right now typing this, but anyway... I have been teaching myself Adobe After Effects. I had drawn Draconis' character, Calamity Cougar, in Photoshop, and had made it so that it could be rigged for animation. I had done about 80% of the art for it. I have the full side view and most of the full front view. I was also working on a 3/4 view. Draconis and I had been working on scripts and were going to do a You Tube channel. We had kicked around some names for it and everything. I was wondering if you would think it in poor taste to continue on with the project? It would take me quite a while to get anything out, because I'm still pretty green with that program and of course he isn't here to help, but I could muddle my way through. Even though we shared a house, his memory belongs to the Fandom and not just to me. Should I bring Calamity back to life or should I leave his memory alone? Please make a post let me know. When I get back online in a few days, I'll read them all.
I'll Be Offline for a Bit
Posted 2 years agoI'm transfurring my Sabertooth lair to Myrtle Beach tomorrow. I'm going to go work with Nash the Red Panda helping at the airbrush shop he works at. It gets me away from the house where the memories of my friend, Draconis, assault me every day and make functioning here difficult. I need the time to heal, and I was raised on the coast down in Charleston when I was a kid, so it is like going home for me. Nash is coming to pick me up a little after noon Tuesday in his 1973 black Volkswagen Beetle convertible. I can't wait to take a ride in it. To make things clear, this is NOT a vacation, it is work, and this is therapy for me. I will be taking my computer with me, and it may take a couple of days to settle in, so I may not be available. I want to get a lot of stuff done for the Fandom and for y'all, and you all are making that possible for me. The support and love has been humbling and overwhelming. *Hugs*
Stuff I Have Planned This Year
Posted 2 years agoDraconis and I had made some plans for this year, and now that he's gone, they are kind of screwed up. It is just so hard to do anything without him. It was almost like he was my twin. Anyway... here is where I plan to be in the foreseeable future.
Mephit Fur Meet. Please go to this if you can. It is my home con, but it will be difficult going without my friend, but I hope to see many friends there.
Wild Nights. If you want a con that's a change of pace, try Wild Nights. Normally this is held in April, but with the pandemic, they are having it Halloween weekend this year and will move back to their normal date in 2022. The site reminds of of one of those summer camp things. Lots of trees and places to relax as well as having dances and lots of other things to do. They also feed you there and you don't have to spend money on a place to stay. They have group cabins. I also will be back in April of next year as well.
Please come visit me and give me all those hugs you promised. Y'all take care.
