OC name change
Posted 7 months agoTL;DR — I'm changing the name of my Samurott cop OC from "Keiko" to "Asami".
I did some searching on fA earlier out of curiosity...and I found out that another person also has a female anthro Samurott OC.
Their appearance is similar to the one I have...and even has the same name as well. It's existed longer than mine has.
Please believe me when I say I did not know that this OC had existed at all! The inspiration for my OC, at least with regards to hair, was Team Aqua's Shelly—the name, I had gotten that from an anime I watched very long ago.
I haven't had anyone point out the similarities yet but I absolutely do not want to start any trouble and/or drama from this, so I'm changing the name just to be on the safe side.

random comment about AI.
Posted a year agoI recently saw a video demonstrating the current technology of AI.
Basically, it had a girl dancing in front of the camera.
Using Stable Diffusion, the AI was able to take the footage of the girl dancing and completely replace her image with that of an anime girl. Think of it as like motion capture-type stuff.
Because of ai's current limitations...obviously it looks jank as hell right now.
But still, I want to say that I'm very impressed.
You guys might find this hard to believe, but way before AI was starting to trend, I had imagined about such technology being able to pull off something like this and I wondered if such a thing could have ever potentially existed in the near future. I was skeptical because I thought it wouldn't have been able to come anytime soon.
This video disproved that. It still needs work but I'm genuinely surprised we already made this much progress so far.
I hope that the technology improves a lot before I pass away in the far future, because something I'd REALLY love to do is take a quicksand video (ex: something from mudpuddlevisuals), and use AI to replace the actress with someone else.
imagine if it were with one of my OCs or any other fictional character in general. it'd be so amazing!!

Posted a year agoWhat better way to start off the week than to search up quicksand artwork and be greeted with scat-themed artwork of people sinking in poop.
just fucking great.
learn to be mindful of others and keep that nasty shit to yourself bro. scat's already disgusting as is. the last fucking thing i want to see is artwork of people sinking into that stuff—there is absolutely NO reason anybody searching for QS artwork should be seeing those kinds of pics.
god.

Reference Question
Posted a year agoGood morning,
Have an important question I would like to ask you all.
I guess you could say it is anatomy-related.
Now firstly, I would like to make it known that I am NOT a feet enthusiast by all means. Absolutely am not into that shit.
However...
Sometime in the future I am planning some full body pin up commissions of several of my OCs. Their feet will be visible due to it being full-body (and due to the nature of the commissions)
As a means of making the characters' body appearances a bit more creative... I want to add paw marks to the bottom of their feet.
Here's my main concern/question: is 3 toes/4 toes typically the norm for anthro characters?
I tried imagining how a character's feet with paw marks would look if they have 5 toes instead but I just can't figure out how it'd look for the love of my life. It's honestly a bit difficult, more than I imagined.
It seems most anthro characters don't even have 5 toes anyways? Krystal's official model in Star Fox Adventures only uses 3 toes despite her having 5 fingers and another OC I found elsewhere uses 4 toes—latter makes more sense considering most animals only have 4 paw marks on their feet.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

the irony of AI artists.
Posted a year agoi still hold firm to my belief that AI art is prob a decent solution in case an artist starts to charge way more for commissions than they really should, but i now have mixed feelings about this.
i tried to commission quicksand artwork from an AI artist on dA and got rejected. not because of the nature of the fetish...but because the artist says QS art is too "complicated" to work with and takes more effort than it should to get it working decently into the AI art generator.
An AI artist of all people is telling me it's too difficult.
jesus christ.

random thought i had.
Posted a year agoi've seen some promising results with novelai so far, i wonder if anyone's attempted to use it with quicksand artwork so far? esp. with furry characters on top of that?

moving dA submissions onto here.
Posted 2 years agoI'm abandoning my dA account, partially. I won't be submitting artwork on there anymore but I'll still be using it to come across new artists every now and then in the hopes that they'll accept quicksand & furry artwork commissions.
In the meantime: there are several pictures I've uploaded there on dA that I will be moving here onto my fA account instead. They will be deleted from dA by me shortly afterwards.
Just a heads-up

fA's block button is fucking useless.
Posted 2 years agorecently i have been seeing an influx of new members join the qs community with artwork resembling that of a 5-year-old's.
despite having these users on my blocklist, fA still chooses to display them on my feed when searching for new artwork.
why the fuck is this a thing? why is nobody complaining about it? If I block someone I OBVIOUSLY don't wanna see their godawful art or just them in general. fuck this site.

update
Posted 2 years agoI mentioned this in a journal i posted 4 months ago, but long story short---2022 may finally be the year in which i take a break from commissioning. sort of.
I won't be refraining entirely from posting artwork, as there's still a few pics i got recently that i will be uploading on here eventually. probably in the next week or so. but just don't expect me to be posting much pictures this year as much as i did this year.
another artist i've been commissioning frequently raised their prices again this morning---changes go into effect after jan 2022. it's too high for my standards right now so unfortunately i won't be commissioning them anymore.
i also still have been unsuccessful in finding an artist that I REALLY like during these past few months as well.
if by some chance i happen to run into another artist next year who draws damn good, i'll probably come back. but until then...
Kind of funny how there's only one day left in this year and yet somehow life has somehow found a way to make things even more frustrating for me.

Small profile updates
Posted 2 years agoMoved a couple of old pieces on my profile onto the Scraps section.
-Polt QS pics (by AceOfBros): I had written before that I was gonna get another artist to continue the pics, but I changed my mind. I will be commissioning a new artist to start over from Part 1, but I'm still keeping the old pics since I don't wanna delete them. I just...don't feel like having them on my main gallery anymore once the new sequence is commissioned by me in the future.
-Aurelia (Giratina) & Keiko (Samurott) pin-up pics: I'm in the process of trying to commission a new pin-up for Aurelia with her new hair design I showed off a while, and I plan on making that pin-up the current "revision" for Aurelia, so to speak. As such I will be retiring the old version, but moving it to Scraps in case anyone still wants to see it.
Same with Keiko. There is a very small tiny modification I wanna make to her, so I wanna commission a new pin-up pic to reflect exactly that.

feeling bummed out again.
Posted 2 years agoAs the months continue to go by, the number of available artists I commission continue to dwindle. Without naming names...
-There was one artist I had decided to temporarily stop commissioning because of their gradually increasing prices. I was planning to commission one more quicksand picture from them before officially calling it quits, but as it turns out they want to focus on drawing pin-ups & other similar material for the foreseeable future, so as such, they're not accepting QS art anymore.
Hey, at least I didn't get blocked! Unlike a certain other artist I mentioned before. But still, quite a shame. I understand their reasons though.
-Meanwhile there is another artist that I myself have decided to stop commissioning for the foreseeable future as well—this artist has recently decided to switch over to an iPad for all their current & future artwork. Their current style isn't bad by all means, but it's such a HUGE departure compared to what their previous style used to look like, and honestly it's kind of a turn-off for me now. I'm genuinely surprised that they would be okay with such a drastic change.
As of me currently writing this out, there are 3 available artists that I can commission for now for the artwork I generally post on my profile. While I do really like them, I want to continue looking for other artists that I can also commission in the long run, and it continues to be difficult looking for an artist that can draw to the standards I'm looking for AND that is ok with this kind of artwork in general.
Depending on my circumstances, I might honestly just take a break from commissioning and from posting artwork in the future. We'll see how it goes.

Some unfortunate news...?
Posted 3 years agoThose of you who have been watching my profile for some time now may have noticed that I had been commissioning an artist to draw a series of pictures depicting Polt sinking in quicksand and getting deeper with each part.
I apologize if this disappoints anybody, but that new Polt QS sequence I had been doing with said artist has now been cancelled.
...Somewhat? I think? I know that sounds confusing but I'll explain that later.
The reason I say this is because I found out today that the artist blocked me this week.
I'm...not really sure why. Ever since I had started commissioning him long ago I had been treating him with the utmost respect & kindness I could offer, so this admittedly hurt me somewhat. Been chatting with a few friends and we came to the conclusion that I was most likely blocked because the artist got tired of drawing such artwork.
I'm not mad, to be honest. In fact I actually understand somewhat, given the weird nature of this fetish (which I don't mind myself!). If he didn't feel like drawing this stuff anymore it's totally reasonable, but the most professional way to handle this would've been for him to send me a personal message stating so instead of just blocking me outright.
Oh well. It's part of the past now and sadly I will have to move on from it.
Now, in regards to the Polt QS pics I had commissioned from the artist...
I'm still keeping them up. They're still of high quality to me and I still want them to be accessible to people.
Will I be cancelling the sequence?
...This might sound super weird but I've been considering something that I don't think has been done before and I want to know your guys' thoughts on this.
I *was* considering cancelling and starting over from the beginning but I'm now thinking about contacting another artist to continue the very same sequence.
Do they have a different art-style? Oh obviously, yes. Do they draw well? ABSOLUTELY. This person draws in an anime-like style and has just recently come back from hiatus—as a matter of fact I've previously commissioned this artist for a QS pic which they have drawn MARVELOUSLY. They're not opposed to drawing anthros as well so this is definitely someone I'll be commissioning for some time.
Anyways yeah, that's really it. I'm currently commissioning said artist for other QS artwork, which I hope to post here eventually. But what are your guys' thoughts on it?

Random thought I had.
Posted 3 years agoI don't know of many quicksand comic submersion sequences that do this but I've recently taken a liking to seeing a character with long hair sink below the surface, then seeing some of said hair float on the surface for a bit before all that hair eventually starts to sink below too. I've absolutely never cared about this before but for some reason I feel this adds to the sexiness of a character sinking deeper into the mud, next to seeing them mouth-deep and watching all the mud fill up their mouths.
Two of my current Pokemon girl OCs have long hair. Idk when I'll do it but I'd eventually like to commission full-submergence sequences for the both of them and see their hair get sunk like this too. :^)
