Commissions Incoming!
Posted a month agoHello everyone, I have decided to open up paid drawing commissions! I will only be doing Sketched Portrait commissions for 12$ as of now. Prices are subject to change later on when the time and quality increases but we all have to start somewhere. :)
I plan to use Paypal to accept payment.

The coming year.
Posted 4 months agoHello everyone, I have decided that this year I am going to be attempting to make a weekly drawing, I would do it daily but I know myself well enough that that would probably not happen. My uploads will be on Saturday, with deviations depending on what I have going on. I am hoping that this will get me more acquainted with regular uploads, and help improve my skills. Like always feel free to comment critiques as they are always welcome. Here's to a good year, with many drawings to come!
School starting up again.
Posted 9 months agoWith classes beginning soon, I will be shutting down requests when the term starts. This next coming up term I will be taking on quite the load and am unsure of how well I will fare. this unfortunately means that I doubt I will have any time to fulfill requests, depending on how well I am doing I may open them back up so keep an eye out! :)
Commission Update! (Reupload)
Posted a year agoAlright friends, the term is over and I managed to pass all of my classes, woo! That being said I have decided to take summer off, so I should have plenty of time to focus on my art!
I have decided to start taking "commissions" but they will be free, more like requests. If anyone would like something drawn let me know, and we can discuss details in private messages as to what you want drawn. There may be things I am uncomfortable with drawing but we can discuss that upon request. Quality may vary as I am primarily wanting to use this as training exercises to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zones. Doubtful that this will be an issue but if I have a large volume of requests I will do them in groups of 5 so as to not overload myself with work.
So yeah! Feel free to give me a request!

Taking a breather.
Posted a year agoHello friends, I wanted to take this time to explain my lack of posting and activity. Since the end of Con I have faced a bit of artist's block and decided it would be to my benefit to maybe take a breath and regroup. I do have plans for some new drawings but at this point, I will be holding off until the end of the term sometime in the next few weeks. I should have plenty of time over the summer to come up with new ways to improve and draw more often, so be watching out for that! :)
Con Over.
Posted a year agoSo I have gone to my first con, I would say it was a success, though I did not meet anyone new, and made no friends or connections. My wife says it's because I can come across as unapproachable. So I will need to work on that. Nevertheless, I am excited to go to my next one, perhaps then I will have greater success at making friends. Got plenty of stuff I didn't know I needed in my life, however, and managed to learn a few things.
First Con.
Posted a year agoHello friends, I am heading to my first convention in about a week, and I was wondering if there are any tips I should know? As I have said I am still rather new to all of this, and it is all very intimidating. Is it usually a friendly place? Should I remember to bring anything important? What is the proper etiquette besides keeping my hands to myself and asking for pictures first, I have gone to other conventions like Comic-Con and Kumoricon, so I have a general idea, I just don't want to feel out of place or cause trouble due to ignorance.
Staying Motivated.
Posted a year agoHello everyone, I just wanted to write to maybe get any tips on how everyone stays motivated to keep up with their work. I suffer from aggressive self-criticism, so with every drawing I make comes gnawing feelings of inadequacy, that what I am doing is crap. Objectively I know that it is not crap, as it makes me happy to create, but when you are your own worst critic, you begin to lose confidence in what you are doing. (Kind of why I took a break for a few months.) But I never want to stop improving and refining my talents.
So my big question is, does anyone else feel the same? How do you cope?

Commission Status
Posted a year agoI am considering opening up commissions, however, as of now I will not be charging and may only accept a few at a time. I would mostly be using it as a request system that I can use to practice new stuff. Some day I will probably have actual commissions, but I cannot do digital art as of now so I am restricted to paper and pencil. If anyone has a request let me know and we can talk details.
Break over?
Posted a year agoI have taken a break from my art for a time for various reasons (Mostly motivation) but I plan to return to drawing soon.
Trades
Posted a year agoI am currently accepting trades, I specialize in portraits (as of now) so if you are interested in trading for a portrait let me know. I feel I have not quite reached commissions level of skill just yet, so that will have to wait until I feel comfortable with charging for my work.
