Fursonas and "Omonimals"
Posted 9 years agoHas anyone of you ever found out your fursona (or own character) name to be the same of some other character from some Movie, TV series, Comic, Game, whatever thing ?
I found out there are TWO "Ota" in the animes:
-The first being the pilot of the "Ingram No.2" in the anime mecha series "Patlabor" (however even with the same name and being a mecha pilot too, he's the total opposite of my own character behaviour and attitude-wise).
-The second being "Koichiro Ota", the mecha piloting coach (teacher/trainer) and officer in the series "Top O' Nerae ! Gunbuster" (This one Ota makes me think about an "Elder" version of mine, teaching to youngs how to become a pilot, tho this one "died young", something i wouldn't want for mine).

A little game about fetishes (only if you have any).
Posted 9 years agoIn these couple of days i got curious about many things, one in particular is the fetishes of other people.
Nothing too precise, mostly general stuff like "what fetishes do some people have" or "How hardcore can somebody be" or "why some people like those fetishes in particular" and such.
So i thought "let's talk about fetishes with people following my gallery in a form of a small game":
You can make me ONE question about fetishes and i'll make you ONE question too ^^.
The questions don't necessarely have to be related to fetishes I or whoever makes those is into (for example you can ask me an opinion about Paws even if i might not be into those as i can ask you about Hypers even if you don't know what is it about).
So, don't be shy, let's get started, and let's ask away :D:D:D !!!

Resuming nowdays villains and evil characters
Posted 10 years agoGratuitous violence.
That's it.
Why am I saying this ? Because i find unbelievable how many "cheap" Villains there are nowdays in novels, movies, and about any kind of narrative.
If you might ask one of those "why do you do this ?" theyr reply would be "Because i can", or "Because i'm evil".
Seriousely, we need less "garbage" villains..

Fursonas and medias, which ones for yours ?
Posted 10 years agoEverybody has an own fursona, but something i think something like this:
What kind of "media" would fit your characters better ? Would they have some TV series ? Or would they be some movie star ? Or maybe have some best seller book novel series ? Or a comic series ? Or be the hero of some videogame ?
You already know what i think about Ota and his friends, after all i don't call myself "animewolf" just because sounds cool, but if i also think that my characters may be good for arcade action videogames like a beat'em up or a space shooter of some kind.
How about you ? How do you feel your characters like ?

Sites where you can find Otakuwolf
Posted 10 years agoReading about artists and furs being "ripped off" i found out that the username "Otakuwolf" isn't used just by me so i'm gonna write here a small list of sites and similars in which you can find me as "The one furry artist Otakuwolf".
If you see some other "Otakuwolf" outside of those that's not me, I don't mean those are imposters but... just it's not me ^^; (However please let me know if somebody does use the username Otakuwolf AND my pictures as well, sorry but i'm a bit paranoid about such things <_<).
However, my username is "Otakuwolf" in most of those sites i've listed above, otherwise i've also written what other nicknames i have in sites where i couldn't be "Otakuwolf" (Maybe because the name was taken already by somebody else that's not me).
Art sites:
-Deviantart
-Furaffinity
-Weasyl
-VCL
Video sites:
-Youtube (i'm callen "AnimewolfOtakuwolf" in there)
-Livestream
Cloud services and online games forums:

- Battle.net (My battletag is "Otakuwolf#<somenumber>")
-Xboxlive (Currently "dead", the username "Otakuwolf" was already taken btw so that one is not me for sure)
-Playstation Network (I'm callen "animewolfotakuwolf" in there, or "Animewolfota")
-GOG
-Hawken
-Warframe
-Smite
-Spiral Knights ("dead" account)
-Starbound

-F-List (I'm callen "Otakuwolf" But my account goes under the name "Ota-kun")
-Goldenwolfen ("dead" account)

Those are "on top of my head" and the ones i attend the most, not sure if i have some other "dead" accounts in some other sites but be sure i don't use anything "Facebook" like, those i listed are the sites you can find me as "the one furry artist Otakuwolf" so if you find another Otakuwolf somewhere else, eighter it's not me or it's a my dead account.

Furries and "troubles". Also taking a small "pause".
Posted 10 years agoArf ! Hi everyone !
Today i had a thought:
I'm not a kind of person who enjoys to see fictionary characters "in trouble", yet i'm one who enjoys to see furries in (rubber) bondages of many kinds and my own fursona too.
Then i wonder: Why some people enjoy so much to see characters from TV shows, games, etc. in "trouble" ?
So let's do one of those "for fun" chatting here, shall we ?
Do you particularly enjoy to see characters from TV shows, movies, games, etc. "in trouble" ? If so, is there one you enjoy to see more than the others ? Why ? And is there some particular kind of "trouble" you enjoy to see those characters in ?
As side note, maybe i'll take a small pause from drawing, just to "rack up" the ideas i have and "make up my mind" about what i want to do next.
There are MANY things i can do and i have many ideas too but atm i'm just not sure about what to exactly do next besides that i want to draw something on my own and preferibly not kinky ^^.

PVP or PVE ?
Posted 10 years agoWhat kind of online games do you prefer ?
Player Vs Player or Player Vs Enemy ?
And why ?
I prefer PVE games over PVP games for a "mentality" matter, people in PVE games tends to be more friendly and "open" to others than in PVP games, even in the related forums and message boards.

Fursona Questionaire
Posted 10 years agoStolen from Muzz
What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
Because i love wolves, i always feel something "special" about them, I admire them and always feel some kind of strange mix of feelings when look at them or hear theyr howls, some kind of joy, nostalgia, and love ^^
Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
For some aspects he's like me, for some others he's what i would like to be. Let's say that he's a "luckyer and happyer" version of my real self, so it's my way to "project" myself into a different reality in which can be happy and have many adventures I cannot in the real world ^^.
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
He does, or better, he has my same personality but without the grump and the other downsides of my real self ^^;
As written above, he's in part what i am and in part what i would like to be, even in the personality ^^
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yes, the exact same ones i say ^^
Does your fursona look like you at all?
I wish i could look like my fursona, i miss my... "haircut" ^^;
Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?
Yes, he is, i'm not the kind of person that would have preferred to be of a different gender (no offence to those who do btw) so he's male as i am ^^
Do you have more then one main fursona?
Ota is my main fursona, the others are more like "co-protagonists" ^^
Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?
He doesen't have a REAL back story and i don't think my own story has anything involving giant anime robots, an inhert God from another dimension, and a misterious evil made from the dark side of the livings ^^;
Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
He's not, but he's in love for his friend Aya Wolfess. And no, i never had a girlfriend so i don't think Aya can symbolize anyone in particular ^^;
If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
As I sayd, he's in love for Aya, but he seems to get in "trouble with the other gender" from time to time ^^;
Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Ota is probably the only hotblooded super robot fur around. I see many pictures with furs and mechas or giant robots but none is actually a "super" robot style (most of the furs prefer Mechwarrior, ZOE, and Macross rather than Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter Robo, and GaoGaiGer).
Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
A quite lot ^^;
Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
I don't think i could ever do anything like that, Ota is a projection of myself and that would be like parting with myself, which is a bit strange to think about ^^;
If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
I wish i could suit and have a suit of my main fursona.
Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
If i roleplay I do as my main fursona unless asked differently.
Do you consider your main fursona to be a part of you in any way?
I consider Ota as the "best" part of me, as he doesen't have the bad sides of my personality ^^

One kind of videogame i really hate...
Posted 10 years agoGames with heavy RNGs (random number generators) usage...
Really, you can be as good as you want but if you have no luck there's nothing you can do if the computer decides to make your life as miserable as possible.
Basically, RNG = the computer decides, and to me that sounds like playing a board game that has no dices with a friend deciding the rules and changing them on the fly whenever he's comfortable with.
Ok, to be fair there are two cases in which i don't mind RNGs, when those don't mean the difference between life or death, and when those aren't combined with ludicrous hardcore difficulties.
In the first case if it's an RNG to decide if i win or lose then what's the point of playing some non-board or casino game on my own ? I'd rather play with real dices and try to guess the number than sitting here and see if for example i have to fight some mob with a sword or a wooden stick or if an attack is going to hit or miss.
In the second case, rewards should be eighter about RNG or Skill but not both.
For example i'm fine that if in order to get a very powerful item i have to beat a very hard mob, but if that enemy even happens to have a very small change to drop anything at all that's some kind of joke, if i managed to get thorough something so difficult why shouldn't i be rewarded for it ? Why should there be a "dice with 99 NO and 1 YES faces" to decide if i get anything or not after all the trouble i got thorough ?.
Really, I understand Board games and Board games like Videogames having luck elements, but about everything else i really can't stand RNGs, I want to be rewarded becuase i'm good at a game, not because the computer "so happens" to decide to gift me something because "so happened" to have rolled the right number in the right moment.
If i have to play a game about luck I'd rather play the "goose game" than an adventure videogame.
Besides, i'm a very unlucky wuffy as many of you may have understood from my many journals, that's probably why i'm so bad in "luck based" events.

About anime characters: Most liked and most despised
Posted 10 years agoArf! Hi everyone!
Lately I've been thinking "Which anime characters do people like and which ones are instead despised?".
Personally, there are both protagonists and antagonists that I like and despise, the reasons are many but personally these are the ones:
Most liked protagonist: Vash the stampede (Trigun)
Vash is in my opinion one of the best anime characters ever made. He has a backstory, he has a personality, he has some strenght points but he also has some weaknesses. I like Vash because he is one rare gem of a character, he's not built around a very precise setting or structure like most of the anime characters from other series. He's something unique, and I may say that he's probably one of the most "human" characters too (Yes I know Vash is not a human himself but what I mean is that he's not a "papermade" character, he has his own good moments but also very bad ones and reacts to each in a different way like most of the real people do). On top of that, he's also a skilled and "powerful" being, enough to level an entire city and destroy half moon, but even then he's not unvincible, and the many scars around his body (and that big one in his soul) proove it. Unlike most of the other "powerful" anime characters that are just powerful and always get out of every situation without any harm that cannot be healed (vash even lost his left arm).
Most liked antagonist: Shinobu Sensui (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Strange but true, there is also an antagonist I like, and it's this one. Why a nice anime wuff like me might like a villain like Shinobu Sensui? Because he's not just evil. Most of the anime villains nowadays are built around the same base "Because being evil is fun" or "because wants to destroy the world". Yes I know Sensui also wants to destroy the world but he's different because he has a reason to do that beyond the personal amusement or greed. I won't spoil the story in case somebody wants to watch the series, but all I can say is that Sensui was once a good guy, one that suffered for his entire life to the point of going schizophrenic, then he made a discovery that shocked him and all of his ideals and beliefs. So he became evil and decided to destroy the world. I like this character because he's not just evil, he has some reason to be evil, he has a personality (well he actually has 7 counting all of his schizophrenic selves), and he also has a backstory. He is not a "flat" character put there to be a villain just because the series needed one.
Most despised protagonist: Suzaku Kururugi (Code Geass)
My close friends know why I hate this character so much, but for those who don't know it I'll just say two words: "Mary Sue". And for those who don't know what "Mary Sue" means I'll say it is a character so flawless, so skilled, nice, and lucky, to be hateable. I can go on for a long while talking about the MANY (way too many) occasions this character has proven himself to be just WAY too much above your "common" (laughs) anime soldier/pilot/insertanythingherehecandoitanyway. (damn, even Sosuke Sagara from "Full Metal Panic" has some flaws, and is the same kind of character).
If you're familiar with the "Lord Of The Rings" movies I have an equal for you: Suzaku Kururugi = Legolas.
Most despised villain: The villains from One Piece, all of them.
I don't mean that One Piece is a bad series, indeed it's a pretty fun one. I watched the (butchered) episodes for a long while myself too, but talking about the villains and the antagonists all around...to me about 99% of them are "flat and lazy". They have almost no personality or development, or they have some very basic/stereotyped personality with a poor development. Thinking about it, most of the villains from One Piece don't even have a backstory, almost everyone of them are evil "just because" or "because killing people is fun" or don't even explain why there is a reason at all behind their behaviour. And when they aren't fighting they just stand still looking to the void without saying a single word or laugh like idiots mocking the other characters...lazy Lazy Lazy! Even the characters from Dragon Ball Z aren't that poorly developed (Cell is a good example of simple yet well developed character: is evil because has been created like that to avenge the Red Ribbon Army. I won't keep going with the details but I'm sure you all know the story).

Cheating, Duping, Hacking, ...
Posted 10 years agoArf ! Hi everyone !
In these days there are some people that seemed a bit concerned about the fact that i "dupe" in certain offline games.
While i think that INDEED it's a bad thing to cheat and do such things in online games since other players and the developers themselves may be harmed by virtual economies (which are a bad idea to start with) or unlegitimately acquired items and powers, i also think that sometimes it can be legit to cheat and dupe, for example in offline games since nobody get really hurt, no other players are hurt since the game is offline, no developers are hurt since i already payed for the game, and the game itself isn't hurt eighter since, you know, is just a series of coded instructions executed by a souless/mindless machine that certainly won't mind if i dupe some items and make a backup of those.
So, because of this little "debate" i'm having with friends, some ones who agree with me in some ways, some ones who don't at all, i would like to make a question to all of you:
Is it always unavoidably bad and unfair to Cheat in any way in games or are there some "exceptions" in which exploiting can be considered a legit and/or an unharming and/or viable option ?

FA meme thingy
Posted 10 years ago1. Why did you join FurAffinity?
Back when i discovered the furdom i was kinda disappointed from the very low feedback of DeviantArt, so when i "randomly" found FA i thought that it could been better considering i saw more "amateur artists" like i was, and people with my same interests than in the first site.
I wasn't wrong, thanks to all of you for the feedback guyz and gurlz ^.^ !
2. What does your username have to do with you?
When i discovered the furdom i joined the forums of "Goldenwolf" and i was thinking about an username, which had to incorporate both my love for wolves and for animes/mangas/whatever, so i thought "Anime geek + wolf = Otakuwolf !" and that's how i made up my username.
Later on it was a bit uncomfortable to call a character "Otakuwolf" all the time, so the single name was split into "Ota Kuwolf" (name and surname).
3. What is your current avatar of?
Is a little crop-off from a picture i did while watching gameplays of "Super Robot Taisen OG Custom" ^^
4. How many watchers do you have, and how many do you watch?
So far... i'm watched by 2520 people and i'm watching 566 people... i need to watch more, i know <.<
5. Do you have more than one account?
No, i don't, i don't need a secound account on FA since i don't post "questionable" contents or anything that could drive some people nuts with it's simple presence in my gallery ^^
6. Name 3 of your favorite artists on FA.
Way too many to list, but i can name a few that always been my... hummm... the kind of artist that you follow, get inspired from, and want to be like someday ^^
alphaleo14 Because he makes what i like the most: Anime mechs and furries, i couldn't ask for more, and the way he draws them is simply amazing, probably the artist that "hit" me the most when i found him.
steamfox Because he's one of the very first furry artists i ever found and still one that i like very much, i'm not into "vintage" but his steampunk and retro-futuristic style pictures make an exception.
Endium Countering what many of you think, i don't admire him for his naughty stuff but rather for his genius, he came up with many ideas and concepts that nowdays are still being used by many FA artists for theyr own pictures.
7. What artist do you admire because of their personality?
As the previous, way too many, but there are two i admire in particular and i'm very close to:
Dingopatagonico Because of his contagious "happyness"
agent Because of his optimism
8. Do you comment, fave, or both?
Both.
I can't leave a picture i fave without a comment, and when i like something in a picture i have to say it, even if it is the picture as a whole... or just to give a little feedback ^^
9. What do you typically post on FA?
Pictures, pictures, and more pictures ^.^ !
Well, what kind of pictures ? It mostly depends on my mood and what people ask me for, but i mostly post Fanarts and Anime stuff... and yes, also Latex bondage.
10.What's your favorite submission in your gallery?
I often tend to change mind about what's my favourite submission in my gallery, but at this moment is "Drumfire Duet", a picture i made after watching a long series of animations from the game "Super Robot Taisen OG Custom".
The musics, the mechs, the timing, everything at somepoint made me think "Woah, i can almost think about my wuff self and Aperion in there... you know what ? I'm gonna draw it !" and so i did, kinda ^^
11. What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Backgrounds, i hate those, mostly because the way i color them doesen't work as good as when i use it on characters.
12. How many hours a day do you spend on FA?
No idea, when i'm not doing something i always hop to FA and check if there are any submissions from my watches.
13. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
Quite fast considering the insane keyboard manouvers i do when i play games too.
14. What is the most annoying thing people ask you?
Many things but i don't know which one in particular annoys me the most, i think it's when people make egoist requests.
15. What is the most annoying/offending comment you've received?
I remember a few in particular, but the most annoying thing is when people make unconstructive critiques, like "this sucks" but don't explain what's wrong or comment "I don't like this picture" without apparent reason.
16. What/who inspires you?
The animes/mangas i have, will have, the ones i occasionally find, the games i play, and the artists i watch too ^^
17. Everyone has considered leaving FA once or twice. Have you? Why?
I never considered to leave FA, because i spent lot of time to get to the point (not a high one but will get there too) i am now, leaving FA would be like tearing down my house to build it back allover again, and i don't have the patience to do that.

Music themes and characters.
Posted 10 years agoI was listening to some anime themes and i thought about something:
Do other furs and artists associate some music or song to theyr own characters too ?
I know a few friends of mine do it, but it would be nice to share some thoughts about the matter, like "If your own fursona/IC character would have a theme, what would it be ?"
In my case, i associate Ota with "Skill" by "Jam Project" and Aya with "Reason" by "Nami Tamaki", how about you ^^ ?

TrapRunning: concept and commissions info here !
Posted 11 years agoTrapRunning: what's this ?
The TrapRunning is a sport or gameshow thought for kinky furs and theyr eventual pets/slaves, everyone can enjoy it and everyone can get something from it (in every meaning)
How does it work ?
It's simple: The contendants are dressed in a speficically designed restraining suit, released in a maze, and the first one who finds the exit wins. It sounds easy but it's not, the maze is hudge and full of hidden traps in the walls, on the floors and on the cielings too so the "runners" always have to be careful about where they are going, but also have to be quick to find the exit before someone else do.
Who are the "Runners" ?
The "Runners" are the TrapRunnig players, most of them are pets and slaves but they can also be kinky furs who want to play the game, or employees of some companies choosen by theyr bosses to compete in the challenge, there can be many kind of Runners but they all have the same purpouse: find the exit before the others.
You were talking about traps, what kind of traps ?
In the TrapRunning there are mostly two kind of traps divided in two sub-categories each, the main types are "Blocking" and "interfering", the first can be timed or gasm set, and the second can be timed or permanent.
The blocking traps immobilize and harrass the Runners on the place, this means that any runner falling into a blocking trap will be forced (and molested) on the place until a certain event occours depending on the kind of trap. Blocking traps can be of two kinds: Timeset or gasmset.
-Timeset blocks hold the runners for a set amount of time
-Gasmset blocks hold the runners and molest them until they climax
The interfering traps give handickaps to the runners who trigger those, most of the times with "toys" or further restraints supposed to make it harder for the runners to focus and/or look for the maze exit, and can be termporaneal or permanent.
-Temporaneal interferences work in the same way of a timeset blocking trap, harrassing the runner for a set amount of time and then "disengaging". Most of the temporaneal interferences are leg restraints or sensory deprivation items (blindfolds and/or earplugs) forced on the runners.
-Permanent interferences will stay on the runners until the match is over and the runner itself or another one find the exit. Most of the permanent interferences are "sexual toys"
How do i join ?
Most of the Runners are pets and slaves owned by some master/mistress or sometimes they are the employees of big companies challenging eachother for theyr boss, but as i sayd we also have "runs" for common furs who want some excitement and dont' have any problem on getting caught and molested by naughty traps of the most various kinds.
If you want to join all you have to do is register (or in case your pet/slave/employee runs for you, register him/her) at some Otakutech office, where you'll be examined to verify if you can fit for the challenge and for the eventual penalty in case you fail.
Then you'll have to buy your equipment for the game, pay a little entry fee, and come at the Otakutech Traprunning, where our employees will "suit you up" and prepare for the run when it will be your turn.
Penalty ? why a penalty ? isn't there a prize ?
Yes, there are both penalties and prizes for losers and winners, and are all different depending on the runner "category". The categories and prizes are:
- Amateur: common "unowned" furs who join the game simply because they want to have fun, the entrance fee will fill up a poll; the winner prize is the poll, the losers will be used/abused by the eventual spectators who will pay an "extra fee" for the bonus of raping... errmmm... having fun with the losers when the game will be over. The bonus won't be given to anyone, those who want to have fun with the losers must be processed with a medical checkup to verify the absence of "diseases" before to apply.
- Pets: furs subscribed by theyr master/mistress. Pets join the game and run for theyr owner/s, that will fill the poll; the owner of the winner runner gets the poll as prize, the losers... will get whatever theyr master/mistress will give them as punishment
- Otakutech: our own employees (willing and not) also play the game; in case the winner is an "unwilling" employee he/she can "retire" from duty istantly, if is a willing employee, a "bonus" will be applyed to the payment of the month in progress; the losers will have theyr duty time doubled and can't play the game anymore until half of this time has passed by in case of unwilling employees, if the employees are willing it will be applyed the amateur penalty.
- Big companies: any employee and/or slave of other companies which are not Otautech; the prizes and penalties are the same as for the pets category
I am a master/mistress and i want to register more than one pet, can i ?
Of course you can, but keep in mind that you'll have to pay a fee for every pet/slave you want to run for you.
How about companies ?
The companies events are organized in "teams":
Every company assembles a team of runners and every "run" has two teams of runners playing (so two companies for every company event). The company fees are bigger since those subscribe for a team and not for a single runner.
You were talking about equipments, what kind of equipments are used ?
the equipment is specifically designed for the traprunning by our developers. It mostly consists in an open crotch and rear latex straitsuit with padded shoulders, hands, knees, lowerlegs, spine, and a GPS earring tag to identify the runner. The equipment can be customized with logos, numbers, and colors of choice, no other customizations are allowed.
This is an example of TrapRunning equipment
So, resuming:
The Traprunning is a sport/gameshow everyone can join, where furs are restrained, put in a maze, and must find the exit before anyone else do trying to avoid the many pervert traps hidden in it.
I want a traprunner commission, shall i just ask ?
Yes, the traprunners commissions will run with the same principle of the other commissions i do (Humble Artist/pay what you want kind), and will have a couple of differences from a "standard" commission:
To have some kind of "atmosphere" about the traprunning game, i'll decide how your character will be trapped or will be going to be trapped (if tenticles, if machines, if rubber, etc.) but everything else is up to you, so you can choose the characters you want to be in the game, the customizations for theyr outfit (colors and logos/numbers) and if you want something light (just restrained or going to be restrained) or naughty (added r@pe).
So basically it's kind of a "surprise" commission in which you can customize your character appearence and kind of traps it may trip into (like a real game).

Super robots Vs Serial robots
Posted 11 years agoLittle question to the anime robots fans... and to the followers of my little gallery:
Which one is your favourite kind ? Super robots (Mazinger) or Serial robots (Gundam) ? Why ? Which one do you prefer to see my wuff pilot ? A Super robot (Aperion) or a Serial robot (Beast frame) ?

Bored... let's do a little thing "for fun"
Posted 11 years agoAs the title says, i don't post journals often but i would like to have some fun together with the people that follow my gallery, so i'm gonna do a little game (which other artists did too in the past, but i do only now):
You can make one question to one of my characters, ask anything, and i'll respond to you like they would ^.^

A thought about Arcade games
Posted 11 years agoI don't like bullet-hell (or like i call them, bullSHIT-hell) games for many reasons, i remember when long ago the arcade games were used to be made for fun, not to be a stupidly hard soulless mass of "bullets everywhere lololol is batshit insane i like it".
Now Arcade shooters aren't callen like that anymore, they are callen "Bullet-hell", if you ask to somebody about "Gradius" or "R-Type" or "Sonic wings" ("Aero fighters" for westerns) people call them "Bullet hell" games... Please let's call those with theyr proper name: "ARCADE SHOOTERS"
Bullet-hell and arcade shooters may look like the same but they are two different kind of games for several reasons, which are also the reasons why i don't like the first but i do love the second:
1) Bullet-hell games don't have stages layouts, those are just plain screens with tons of enemyes and enemyes; Arcade shooters do have stages layouts, including obstacles and parts of the stage itself that could be dangerous for the player or can be even helpful to shield enemy fire (the "Speed" stage from the Gradius games is a perfect example of this "layout" concept i talk about), and i remember about some games having stages with "Variable" layout too, with the stage changing all of a suddent like an undirect "surprise" (buttsecs) attack.
2) In bullet-hell games the enemyes (as the stages) look all the same and have "no effort" on theyr design or in theyr structure, most of the times they are chibi anime girls shooting shit everywhere without a precise pattern, like the developers "needed to give some beliveable shape to the thing shooting" even the bosses are like that, just little chibi girls you have to shoot to death without any real strategy, it could been even a pokèmon and there wouldn't been any difference; Arcade shooters are and always had lot of work in every single aspect, from the background images to the enemyes and the player itself, Just look at games like R-type or the old dear "Neo-Geo" shooters, take a look at theyr detailed designs on the spacecrafts and monsters, then take any bullet-hell game in comparison, there is no match about designs, the older beat the newer... even the Arcade shooters bosses are better than the Bullet-hell ones, they aren't just put there for you to be shot while dodging theyr shit, most of the times in Arcade shooters you're supposed to defeat the boss in a precise way ("Destroy the core !"), which is not JUST shooting at it while dodging theyr shit.
3) In bullet hell games the player is most of the times "powerless", just a little thing shooting with a pattern the player decides, period; Arcade shooters give a better "fun" to the player with multiple options not just for "the direction they shoot", like the "Force Device" in R-type, the "armor parts" in "Alpha mission II", and the "Tenticles" in "Multiply X", so the player isn't just "a thing that shoots", it can do more than just shoot straight ahead and this also gives a more tactical approach to the game than just "dodge and shoot" (sometimes in R-type you're supposed to "shield" yourself from precise directions with the Force Device for example).
4) This is something common in most of the games nowdays but... Bullet-hell games reward you with ACHIEVEMENTS (*laughs* GOD i hate those) that give you nothing, they are like a popular quote from AVGN when he beaten "Ghostbusters" on NES: "Congratulations: you have just proven your nerdyness, now fuck you !"; Arcade shooters in theyr console and PC versions were used to give you "Bonuses" for completition (New ships, new weapons, new options) so there was a better reason to complete and play those in harder difficult than just the "e-peenis".
5) Bullet-hell games are made to be hard, seriousely just look at all the previous points and let's face it: bullet hells aren't made FOR FUN, are made TO BE HARD, like a personal satisfaction of the own ego of the game developers saying "Aha, my game is harder than yours, you're n00b"... maybe but you're idiot; Arcade shooters are made to be FUN, and that's what a game should be in first place, FUN, a game made just and only to be hard isn't fun (at least for me it isn't) is just plain stupid from the very beginning (just look at the effort bullet-hell developers put in theyr games for anything which is not the quantity of shit on the screen, there is none).
Let's think about it: why people remember the game series"Touhou" ? Because of it's insane difficult ! Then why people remember the game series "Gradius" ? Because it's an hard but FUN arcade shooter !.
Sayd this... i hope to haven't offended anybody, still, i miss the ARCADE SHOOTERS... i have to fix that *trows away
Mushihimesama Futari and picks Gradius Gaiden... feels much better*

PLEASE, if you want to use my arts or designs...
Posted 12 years agoPLEASE, if you want to use my pictures or designs for your own pictures or ideas, ASK ME FIRST, or at least TELLME WHEN YOU DO IT.
I'm not angry, i just want to point out that it often happens that some people goes around taking pictures of other artists and using those for theyr own without giving credit to the original ones.

How people forgot the meaning of fun
Posted 12 years agoGames aren't anymore for fun, at least the online ones don't seem to be.
Games aen't anymore about "having fun just playing the game", this concept has been replaced by scoreboard, leaderboards, achievements, hats, in-game money, tier levels and how cool you may look playing an entire game all straight on and without any help.
I miss the concept of "fun" in the old games, at least in those ones there weren't online scorebullshits or e-viagrachievements, it was all about pure, simple fun and nothing else; nowdays is all about "who's the bigger e-dick" (or maybe who's the bigger e-dick-head), i need to find some good players to play with, and when i say "good" i don't mean "skilled".

Asking a small favour to my friends
Posted 12 years agoPLEASE, if you're in my contact list, don't give my adress to just anyone, i prefer you ask me before to tell to somebody else my contact adresses, as last time i've recived an invite from a person that told me to "know a my friend" (he told me who is my friend too), but he doesen't seem to understand that i have better things to do than "trade hugs" everytime he sees me (and most in particular when i'm playing).
So PLEASE don't just give around my adresses to anyone you know or any friend of yours before asking me.

About chats
Posted 13 years agoI've made many journals talking about chats, when i'm avaible, when i'm not, what i like to do etc; and i'm thinking to resume all in one journal.
So here there are some things i ask you to read before to chat with me (or to keep in mind anyway about it):
1) Pay attention to my status; because depending on that i can or cannot be able to respond to your messages. If you see (trough "colors" in MSN, "icons" in YIM, or the simple status indication on Steam) that i'm busy, away, idle, playing games etc, i cannot respond to you, and sometimes it can be even frustrating to recive one or more messages while in the middle of a complicate gameplay or while i'm trying to draw something which requires attention to details and such, so please, check my status before to send me any message or start a conversation.
2) If you want to have a conversation is fine, but you must understand that i often talk with many people, and some are very active too, so it takes time for me to respond to every single message i recive and it can be even harder if you send more than one everytime; so please have patience while chatting with me because i can be very slow on responding
3) It is hard for me to have an occasion for roleplay, but is a great pleasure to have some when i'm "free enough"; however there is a difference between "hugs trading" and roleplay, if you want to roleplay is fine but i don't want to have one only based on "hug"/"nuzzles"/"kiss"/"hug"/"pets"/"gropes"/"hug" etc. What i mean is that roleplaying is fine but as long as it is some "real" roleplay, not something like a hug trading.
Chats or roleplay are fine, but please don't call me to trade hugs
4) I can watch links and stuff like that, but don't spam those. As i stated before i have many chats even with a single messenger and i can't pay attention to a video or an article all straight forward without responding to the other people that want to talk with me, so if you send me a link, please keep in mind that it takes even longer time for me to look at it's content, and often i can't watch/read it all at once because you're not the only person i'm chatting with.
