Important update about the group
Posted 8 years agoTo everyone who's concerned about our standing with the Lake Murray authorities, I would like to put your fears to rest. It is true that we have been approached by the staff for the last two meets, but neither time were we in jeopardy of being kicked out. The lady who spoke to us simply felt it was time that we needed to start complying with their regulations, which means that every group over 50 people must have a permit in order to host an event at the lake. This is not unusual, and it actually shows how much they like us, that they haven't gotten on our case until now, now that our attendance is over 100. Some of the same staff members have been at Lake Murray since the meets first began in 2012, and they have been nothing but supportive thus far. I should emphasize that, in coming to us these last couple times, the staff are only doing their jobs, and would be negligent if they didn't follow up on this.
As for the fountain breaking, simply bumping into it should not have caused as much damage as there was. The fountain was already well worn, and was on its way to breaking anyway. The staff did not even mention it when they came to us, and if they didn't think to mention it during our talk, it shouldn't be our concern.
Seeing that we will need a permit for LMFAO from now on, as I've said before, the other organizers and I are willing to pay the ~$200 fee ourselves, but if any of you are able and willing to donate to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it!
We're still working to get the Patreon rewards together for those of you who have generously donated there so far, thank you for being patient with us!
If anyone has any other questions or concerns, please contact or Thank you all for being the best furry community ever! grin emoticon
