Memorial Day Weekend
Posted 11 years agoThe 27th is Memorial Day. Remember to honor those who have lost their lives, and be grateful for those who have been able to return safely.
I hope everyone has a great and SAFE weekend!

Reminder

Remember.
Posted 11 years ago[Apologies for the long absence, my laptop was broken and I couldn't access the internet very often. Thank you so much to all the new watchers and supporters!]
Please note me if you would like an image of yours uploaded, along with what you would like written in the information section.
Today is Veteran's day, an incredibly emotional and important day for many of us. It is incredibly important to honor those who have fought, fallen, or are still fighting for our country.
These are men, women, friends, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, the list goes on. You do not have to know a vet to have respect for them.
Although this is a single day out of the year to honor veterans, treat every day like 11/11. When you see a man or woman in uniform, shake their hand, thank them for their service.
To those who have served, thank you. We have so much respect for you all, and will always support you.
To those who are still out there fighting, please return safely to your families, you have nothing but our appreciation.
I hope everyone has a safe winter ahead; to those who have been impacted by the hurricane, I hope things get better for you.

How Can You Help?
Posted 12 years agoIt's one thing to express your support for the troops through your words, but what about those who want to express it through actions?
There are many great organizations that help both active servicemen and veterans alike.
But be cautious; many organizations, namely veteran-based organizations, are either scams or very misleading and badly run.
How can you be sure you are donating or helping out a reputable organization?
Charity Navigator gives in-depth information on the organizations you are curious about.
