Life updates and Future commissions!
Updating for if ppl are curious where I've been!
Last year around July (artfight) I drew so many pictures!! The most I had ever done in a month I think, it was super fun!! But that ALSO brought about my first experience with tendonitis. Near the end, it felt like my arm was in fire all the way up to my elbow.
It took me a few months after that to be able to draw anything, and then for the whole year my thumb/wrist would go in and out of pain. I didn't even have to be drawing for it to trigger. It's better now, but it still gets sore. I'm definitely more conscious of it, and know when to stop myself.
That was the main reason my art production had plummeted.
Then in November, sadly, my grandpa got into an accident (coincidentally on the 1 year anni of my g gmas passing). He was in a medically induced coma for a couple weeks before passing in dec.
Then this spring (March??) I had the horrible experience of having an infected cyst?? It made sitting intolerable, just EXSISTING hurt I kid you NOT. It got to be the size of a golf ball they said 😭
Our roommates were also moving into an apt of their own at exactly the same time.
I had to have this drain in for a month it was terrible and I did not know comfort for like 2 months.
After that, corona hit of course. And I am fortunate (?) Enough to be deemed Essential, working at a pharma/grocer/liqour store. So I got the FUN experience of everyone's initial anger when all the toilet paper got DESTROYED
And getting cussed at for new mask policies ect. Every week there were new rules to enforce and follow. It's chilled out now though, with things becoming the norm.
With the extra room from our roommates moving out, I transferred all my art stuff in there! Now I am not crammed in a tiny space, I'm not keeping my fiance up at night when im arting late.
I had a horrible desk chair, that would make my tail bone ache for days if I sat in it for a few hours. I finally upgraded to a new, WAY more comfy chair. And its like MAGIC.
I participated in this year's art fight, only anticipating to make only a few pieces due to not wanting to aggravate my tendonitis, but it didn't happen AT ALL. I made so much more in depth art pieces too!!
I think having the space for my stuff has my arm at a better resting point. And the new chair helps my posture.
Art isn't painful anymore!! It's FUN again.
And with that, I'd really love to be able to commit to offering commissions again! I hope to update my gallery with my newest stuff. And update my commission tab/make a Commisions post!
Thanks!
