I love creating/developing characters, both in games and in art.
I love to tell stories, but comics are hard work and take a long time.
Not exactly a furry.
I don't RP with strangers.
Sorry, I won't give you my Discord.

A note about treating me, my customers, and reposting my art
6 years ago
Hey my dear watchers!
I think it is about time that I adress a few things that are on my mind lately. Please keep in mind that I know most of you aren't affected by the things I have to say - you are one great community over all and have been supporting me massively for years now. I want to post this here though as a little heads-up, because things like these stress me out greatly, and I have more important things to deal with than online drama.
First of all, treating me, my customers, and how I will handle harassment from now on:
At a few occasions I had noticed (or been informed about) people harassing my customers, mostly the winners of my character design auctions. I know that sometimes these can get heated, but I ask you to be polite. Don't harass someone because he won an auction. Don't blame them for whatever - if they won it fair and square, there is nothing to blame them for. That's why I have a snipeguard.
I know that timezones exist, and therefore it can be hard for some people to bid, but I can't change that, sadly. I have to set an end date and time at some point, and I won't be able to pick one where the whole globe is up and available.
Also, don't harass my buyers asking them to sell their character. There's nothing bad in asking once, politely, or to ask them if they can contact you in case they'd want to sell at some point, but if they say no, go on with your life. If I get contacted by one of my customers with proof of harassment, I will add you to my blocklist after I evaluated the situation. Without any further notice.
The same will happen if you harass me over my prices or anything. I don't dictate how high an auction goes for example. I deliberately pick high autobuys so bidding is encouraged, that doesn't mean I expect the character to reach this value. (I'm always happy when it does though.) As for my commissions, I have to adapt the prices if I notice I take too long for pieces in general and struggle to earn enough. If I can't pay my rent, insurance and food I am screwed, so I will have to make adjustments where needed. (I will have an update on my commission pricelist soon.) I am always trying to have an affordable option available, but it all depends on complexity and time needed. So please, don't argue with me about my prices. And don't haggle.
About reposting my art:
Please, for the love of everything that's sacred to you, do not repost my art. I am around on a lot of social media platforms, and usually I have my stuff posted there. If I don't, you can indeed ask me if you are allowed to post it with credit and link to one of my websites! Please do not use my art as avatars or banners or whatever though, as everything I create is either commissioned, a sold character design or personal art, so the characters belong to somebody else and people generally don't like seeing their characters in others' galleries without proper credit. If I should draw any fanart in the future of official characters, that's a different story. I'd appreciate people asking anyway though, or at least to put a link to the original somewhere.
the only persons that are allowed to post the artworks are me, the commissioner/character owner and people I or the buyer gave permission to.
Also, my art should NOT be edited in any way, slapping color filters on it, removing signatures or drawing on it, and I do not approve tracing, especially when not credited. (There is a difference between being inspired by a pose and blatantly tracing it.) Do not 'make your own character' by taking my character designs, changing the eye color (or whatever) and call it your own.
If I notice people reposting my art without credit, I will first ask them to take it down. If they do not react or don't want to take it down, I will file a copyright infringement issue and block the person.
Please, be respectful to artists. We take hours of our lives to create art for you that you can enjoy for free. You should have the time to copy and paste a link to our art when you post it somewhere, or in the best case just share it directly from our social media accounts. This literally takes a few seconds. Don't be that person.
Some of us make a living through art, and how should people find us if our art is scattered everywhere without a name or link?
Sorry for the rather serious topic (and partial rant), but this is stuff I wanted to clarify and get out of the way.
For a better overview, these are the websites you can find me on so far:
DeviantArt: https://thalbachin.deviantart.com/ (basically same gallery as here, but SFW and almost no adopts)
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Thalbachin (most active lately, a lot of personal stuff there too though - not art only)
Tumblr: http://astin-the-silent.tumblr.com/ (personal tumblr, a lot of games, animals and art)
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Thalbachin/ (quite inactive lately)
Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/thalbachin (If I will finally get more active with streaming again, this will be where to find me)
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thalbachin/ (inactive atm)
