It's over, or almost
5 days agoShe's even back home already, since now out of care is medication, transportation and carrying out meals in a "special" state, something like mashed potatoes, since chewing hurts her and it pulls on her stitches, so she's not even talking much yet
I spent those two weeks almost permanently in lines, gathering paperwork for a second surgery for my mom, securing her vacation and the financial issue of it all. Plus it just so happened that the youngest of my sisters also had a problem that only a surgeon could deal with. And how unlucky for her, obviously this problem will stay with her forever as it is a biological trait. I don't want to get into it too much, but roughly speaking her toenails are not growing properly and are growing wider than they should at random times and it worsened literally following my mom, but luckily I have power of attorney for minors and was able to get to the doctor with her on my own
Although my mom was lucky with the doctors, and she said that everyone was really good to her and their work, we were unlucky because the doctor and the nurse who took care of my sister just tried to get back at her for their problems and just yelled at the baby for being in pain while they were cutting her and sewing her up with non-dissolvable thread, which also meant that we would have to go there again to have the stitches removed
We did the transfer a few times there too, as it's the only person who does it for us, but after this boorish behavior on the third day we decided to do it at home ourselves and for good reason. While we were sitting in line - she got lice🫠
we were not in the dermatology department, which means that just an infected child was sitting in the clinic without protection and spreading the disease🫶
But for us it's a bigger problem than for the rest of us, because unfortunately she also has severe skin allergies, so the medicine literally burns her scalp to a bloody pulp and I had to torture her with my own hands
We have done the procedure several times and soon her suffering will be over at least with her head, but she will have to take medication to restore the skin and apparently as soon as her one leg heals - we will have to repeat all this with the second one, because there is a high risk that it will also fall at any time soon, and for the summer my father has got spa tickets and I would not like it to happen then
Anyway, there are now two whole people in the house who are actively demanding constant bandage replenishment, but I've also upped my bandaging skill
I can finally get back to work now, although I had planned on it two weeks ago, but I had no idea how long all this bureaucracy would take, although I did manage to get benefits, it's not even half the cost, so everything I was going to do in terms of work is still VERY relevant and I'll start today🫡
