Was'up my fuzz-butts?! Welcome to the Artificery!
*
As of 2020, a severe back injury has taken me away from my day-job as an agricultural-maintenance deputy-director. (assistant farm manager) but I'm choosing to look at it as an opportunity to pursue my passions.
Comics and Invention.
As an aspiring Comic and concept artist, I enjoy Punk-genre themes, such as steam, diesel, and cyber-punk, but also fantasy, contemporary-fantasy, and some alternative slice-of-life.
Current projects are;
“The Next Beginning” (formerly 'ParaFable'). Its a Diesel-punk, pre-industrial, action fantasy about second chances, love, and political turmoil and espionage. The TNB folder in this galley will also be home to spin-offs and one-shots taking place in the Fragment universe, in addition to many of my show-bible notes.
“FUS10N P01NT”. A cyber-punk themed story revolving around five friends and their struggles with the rise of new technologies and the future of civilization. While this project isn't strictly 'furry', it explores a future in which there is advanced body-modification into 'animal-like' appearances, resulting in multiple generations of anthro-like humanoids and in turn the obsoletion of the furry sub-culture. There will be extra-terrestrial alliances, cyborgs, and robot warfare, just to give a few examples of what FP will contain.
*gallery updates pending*
“The Books of Mæglyn”. This is my take on a contemporary-fantasy revolving around a certain 'wizard' named Mæglyn and his dragon companion Quartz, and the peoples and places they interact with, all the while trying to guide civilizations, and protect the dwindling dragon population from intergalactic dragon-hunters. While, again, not a strictly furry tale, there are many races and people that appear throughout that are “anthro” in nature. There will also be parallel stories in this universe that, while not revolving around Mæglyn and Quartz, are still a strong part of their continuity.
Such stories are:
“Bloodshed”, a modern-day werebeast story pre- and post- Mæglyn's intervention. In these stories I explore supernatural abilities, the power of curses and blessings, and of course, werebeasts trying to find sanctum and purpose in a modern world;
“The Den of the Trinket Dragon”, a story about a young man in the Appalachian mountains who discovers the hidden den of a ancient Asian Dragon who fled to the Americas seeking refuge from a culture that no-longer needed him and ruthless crusader knights, the story follows their developing friendship and their struggles to find their place in a world that would fear and hate them, or exploit them.

“Of Man and Beasts” universe. In these stories I would like to explore an alternate world where “anthros” have been a part of the human experience from the beginning, weaving their cultures and histories in with our own. These stories will be border-line sci-fi in nature (some more than others) and look into such topics as: cultural and racial stigmas; “supernatural” biology(amphibious sharks, and fire-breathing dragons for example); and alternate histories.
Stories in this category are:
“Down-Under the Impression” (considering renaming): A story set in the early 2000s about Lor, an American Dragon-man's vacation to Australia and his subsequent move there in an attempt to get away from his bigoted family and to seek political refuge from his government for being a fire-breathing throwback of his ancestral heritage. There he meets and falls in love with a professional surf-boarder named Dare.
“Rough Patches”: A story about two teenage boys, Toby -a pitbull-man, and CJ -a European horse-man, and their adventures in time-traveling to and from the early 1980s. This story will explore causal-loops, temporal artifacts, and grandfather paradoxes, in addition to racism, bigotry, and butting heads with social taboos via the punk movement.
“Contigo” A more slice-of-life style of story set in the mid to late 1990s about two boys, Roy- a German Shepard, and Pete- a Pitbull, who live in Pueblo Co. A simple little love story, but part of the history of “Rough Patches”.

“Warning!: This is not a Quest!” A 'knight-punk', satirical fantasy comedy where a young dragon named Inuishi sets out to be a Knight for his Kingdom with the help of an old drunken wizard named George. In this story I explore the idea of 'Questing' as a sort of sport that the people of this fantasy world watch on big scrying mirrors in taverns, and where great battles are 'played' at for entertainment. The twists come as dragons are considered 'antagonists' in the games -along with other non-Human and Elven creatures. Inuishi, however wishes to compete as a Hero to build his stats as a potential knight, something very few have managed to do before him. But in this world of consumer questing real dangers wait around every corner, some poorly marked if at all. Its in these challenges where the real glory and status (and some pretty nice loot) are, however Heroes beware, because “This is not a Quest”.

“The City of Lost Heaven” written by the amazing greyhound1211 , He and I are currently working on the development of the comic adaptation of his story by the same name. Go and check out his awesome work. As for CLH, its a period piece set in the late 1970s that I lovingly like to call 'Disco-Noir', a bit ironic, yes. There's racial and political intrigue, all nicely seasoned with murder and drugs. But, hey, its the 70s. Am I right?
I also love just making random doodads out of trash and whatnot, whether its useful or just neat to look at. I'm pretty good at 'basic' carpentry, electronics/electrical, mechanics, and just MacGyver-ing things to work. Not to mention some (hopefully one day) more revolutionary inventions.
I just like to make stuff- whether its art or a gadget- and telling a story in the process
If you'd like to commission me for some art message me and I'll get back with you when I can. As a note though, I will stay away from most "adult" content for the time-being. I'm not saying "none" or "never" just fair warning that I may not be comfortable drawing what you have in mind. We'll see where this all goes.

I also accept tips *wink-wink* now which is greatly appreciated If you'd like to help out a fuzzy, dragon friend!

7 years agoSo I'm planning on opening up for commissions! Woohoo! I'm almost all set up, I'm thinking of starting somewhere around $5-10.00 a piece. I'm working out the details of what all I can provide and limits and restrictions. Stay posted to my commissions page on here for more info. Also, let me know what you think about it or if you have any ideas. I could really use the feedback. Thanks!
