Welcome to the IMVU group!
This is a place to share our common love of IMVU together.

What is IMVU?
_{IMVU (which stands for Instant Messaging Virtual Universe) is a 3D graphical social network much similar to that of it's competitor, Second Life, that includes instant messaging, games, and virtual goods. Users select an avatar to represent who they are while online. It is developed by IMVU, Inc. which is based in Mountain View, California. It has been available since April 2, 2004 on Windows, August 2010 on iOS (Apple iPhone) and in October, 2010 on Mac.

Basic IMVU access is free, however, users may choose to buy gift cards, or pay with a credit card in order to obtain virtual credits.

Where do I download this program?
First, go to the main website and create an account first.

Will I be able to create a furry avatar there?
YES! Creating furry avatars is definitely possible. Just save up your Credits (the client's currency) and go to the Shop and search for furry items. :)

Can I join the group?
Certainly! Membership is open to anyone and everyone. :)

Can I submit art/screenshots to the group?
Yes, and no.

FurAffinity does not allow screenshots of content that YOU DID NOT CREATE, but if you are an IMVU developer and want to show off your products that are your OWN creation, then this is perfectly acceptable if you state that you have made the content of the avatar. Then that would be perfectly fine.

In other words, IMVU screenshots of content that YOU DID NOT CREATE YOURSELF ARE NOT ALLOWED AND ARE AGAINST THE AUP.

Art of IMVU avatars are welcome as well.
