journals on FA, i find, are spammed so often that i dont make them? i tend to post art and do a comment here or there. at the moment, however, there's enough reason for me to make another [Life Update] post, and copy the bsky/twitter threads i made earlier, which will explain the predicament i'm in. a real rock and a hard place.

context: im renting a room outside of Seattle, the homeowners are two married elderly trans women, one being a grandma, 3 of her grandkids are relevant to my predicament. during the summer, the grandkids and their parents [we'll call them Husband and Wife] moved to Florida.

i was alerted near the first of the month that they were currently going through a family crisis of the affair kind, and the grandkids now needed to room in grandma's house - also meaning i would have to give up my room. it works out that there's three beds past the master bed, and space would be tight. i was TOLD mid-december was when i needed to clear out.

then the situation escalated down in FL, and Husband had to take quite the L by moving cross country, from FL to WA, in 4 days, and spend most all his savings on fees and plane tix for his kids.
guy is capable and a veteran, he'll survive.... however, the grandkids are all teenagers, one being in community college already. he's doing everything he can, absolute 'end of his rope' desperation style, thus im not trying to burden the family by refusing to leave. they need the room more than i.

to tally it up - the affair by the wife has put *FIVE* people out of their homes. the kicker? im told this is indefinite.

Husband has to find a job, start earning from that, *then* get an apt with at least three rooms. in this area, bare minimum that's $3k/mo. i've been looking. Seattle/King County is notorious for steep housing costs. however fucked i am, this guy is 4x as fucked. grandma isn't even related to him, wife is grandma's daughter. Husband adopted them, now he's got to ask the mother of his spouse who just washed her hands of the kids for this help. grandma has been exceptionally gracious.

NOW, i didnt say anything about this on socials just yet b/c i wanted to at least get the room situation handled for the immediate future. i've received the kind of help locally to cushion this, and i've booked an airbnb.... for a month. it's closer to where i shop and get my nicotine, at least. double the rent i pay, though. i intend to have my full setup put back together by friday.

this is one of those times people ask for help, so i will, but know that i'm not dead in the water. i can feed myself and i JUST got refills for my mental meds, which is why im not leaving the area.
