All characters/situations depicted within my art are fantasy scenarios and thus not representative of real life in any capacity, and also are of sufficient intelligence to pass the Harkness test - this includes ALL feral/quadrupedal characters!
REGARDING COMMISSIONERS
I have a carpal tunnel/tendonitis/tennis elbow inflicted drawing arm and this may cause brief holds on drawing while I wait for the inflammation to go down.
♡Thank you very much for being so patient!♡

Bad News from the Physiotherapist
Hey all, thought the news I received today at my long awaited first appointment with a physio should be shared.
Unfortunately, he said my drawing arm is incredibly weak and full of knots (necrotized tissue NOT the fun kind) compared to my non dominant arm and that for at least 4-6 weeks I'll need to minimize all fine motor skill tasks as much as physically possible. No drawing, no using the computer, no video games, no embroidering, no chopping veggies, not even using my phone with my right hand. I also need to be doing deep tissue massages on my forearm twice a day as I'm able.
After that, he said we can review the progress of the healing, and from there start doing strengthening exercises and returning to drawing 10 minutes at a time...
To be honest, this news is devastating to me. I've had to do this once before around 2018 for 4 odd months and it drove me absolutely bananas not being able to do anything. Like, I struggle to even watch media without occupying my hands. At the very least I've been told gross motor skill tasks are fine, so I guess I'll look up some activities or... anything I can do to pass the time 😭
In terms of artwork, I have a few pieces on backlog to post, and only one commission in the queue, which luckily just needs finishing touches before I can send it off for approval. The other owed piece is a raffle prize, which, although it's incredibly painstaking to maintain usual quality, I can continue lining with my left hand.
For the contest I'm holding, I'll still be finishing it up and picking winners at the end of January, but the actual work on the prizes will be delayed as I rest my wrist. As for commission work, it would be irresponsible for me to take on any new pieces until I'm cleared to draw again, but my end goal is to be able to draw 4-6 hours a day like I used to, so hopefully it will all be worth it.
I'm so sorry to everyone and thank you all so much for your patience in these truly trying times.
