~KittenKaboodles
Kitten Kaboodles is the name, art and writing is the game! <3
Nickname is Fuzzbutt among my friends
I make mostly digital art of varying subjects but I also write, both fanfics and original works. My writings aren't normally furry-based, though, so I don't know how much I'll upload those here. But I am working on a several-arc, longrunning sonic fanfic about time travelers and robots so you'll probably see a LOT of art for that here.
I'm a PanRomantic Asexual so, ya know, that's cool, I guess.
Buuut that about sums me up pretty well, methinks. I'm always up for a chat, so don't be afraid to hit me up at random.

Okay. So.
Here's the thing: the social media landscape is a hellish nightmare of rage-inducing nonsense and I hate almost everything about it. Especially nowadays.
Unfortunately, it's as equally necessary as it is infuriating, especially if you specifically intend to build a following for, say, your future publishing chances. Sure, it's possible to still get published without building up a pre-following, but your chances of actual success are... lower everyday. So for the sake of my books, I'll weather this clusterfuck that is social media. Maybe even master it at some point. until they change it again and no one knows how it works again
Anyway, in my attempt to make social media slightly less frustrating and reign in my sporadic uploads, trying to figure out what should go where, which site gets what art, did I link that one to twitter yet or not? Have I uploaded that piece at all yet? etc, etc... I've decided to test out a crossposter. Everything is going on everything. With a few exceptions, of course. The Disrepair House chapters are obviously staying on AO3 and the Tumblr page, but I'll probably upload full art pieces everywhere.
The secondary reasoning for this, though, is: Fuck Eclipse. But also, there's currently nowhere better than dA. Considering I do digital and traditional art, writings, crocheted and knitted pieces, game development, clothing designs... a little of everything, really, most of the places other digital artists have escaped to don't work for me. Just on writing, alone (which, quite frankly, dA's always ignored the writing community but at least you still CAN upload literature. EVEN IF THEY GOT RID OF STA.SH WRITER, ASSHOLES!) Anyway, my point is, it's a hard knock life for the writer and there are few places for us and even less with even somewhat active traffic that aren't just other writers. So options are limited and unfortunately, dA is still one of the only places you even can upload a lot of things. Even if they blatantly ignore a lot of those communities and hate websites that actually work.
But if I'm going to be stuck with the fuckery that is Eclipse, at least by using a crossposter, I don't have to directly look at the ugly, nearly-unusable mess that Eclipse still is despite shoving it out. Maybe, just maybe, I can still tolerate posting if I keep my contact with it minimal. I don't like it. I want to leave. And the second something better comes along, I'm out of here - which is also why I'm posting to multiple sites - but for now... I'm stuck. We'll see how tolerable this setup is for a couple months. If it remains unbearable, I'll just stick to the other sites.
And thus the third reason for this change: To get a more direct, 1:1 look at interaction across the different sites. If I post everything, everywhere, I can get a better handle on which website actually gets me the most traffic, and then I can prioritize those. Might even add more sites if I discover new possibilities that sound promising.
I'll be testing this for a couple months and report my findings by the end.
Which website, between:
-DeviantArt
-Tumblr
-FurAffinity
and
-Twitter
actually gives a newer account the most chance at being seen. And which community is the most interactive. (My bet's on FA, but we'll see) Obviously some of my accounts aren't brand-spankin'-new. My Tumblr is brand-brand new, just made it today. But my FA wasn't super active before this and I just created a new DA account a year ago and stopped posting once Eclipse hit. Twitter is twitter. But none of my accounts are popular in any stretch. They rarely get interaction, if ever, so we'll see how this goes.
Finally,
S/O to FA. I haven't been super active because not a lot of my art is furry art and I struggled with this whole situation because, while you are the closest to old DA and probably have the best community amongst them all, I felt bad about putting too much non-furry art on a furry-specific site. But when it comes down to it, I like you most. The website, itself, has some problems but they're probably the least egregious out of the list. So I'll try to add more furry to my lineup to make up for this. I've been wanting to do more, anyway. Colorful cats are fun to draw.
Also, hi Tumblr. This is the first post for the new account.
Also, also, bear with me as I line up the backlog. Things have been so sporadic, I have no idea what I've already uploaded where but I'm going to try to keep it straight until I'm caught back up.
You can find links to everything on the pinned tweet on my twitter: FuzzArt
I try to post links or reminds for things that are on specific sites over on my twitter, like game updates and fanfic chapters and blog updates and whatnot. Those will all be on their specific sites.
I think I've rambled enough. I gotta go through and queue up a shit ton of posts now.
