Spring?
I think it's Spring.
It's difficult to tell with the endless days of grey, gloomy Manchester weather.
But, I can feel the change in myself after an unseasonably long period of SAD.
The desire to get the pencils out and draw/sketch furry/anthro art again is *real*
Having said that, I am aiming to take my art in a slightly different direction - I have chucked a load of my art into the scrap pile and intend on following a divergent path; keeping the pieces that are relevant to my goals in my main gallery.
History is proving to be the flavour of the month.
I watched the Napoleon film
It was... terrible.
So, I started reading some Historical Fiction books from the era instead; they've fired up my imagination and have made me want to pursue artworks inspired by the eras of history I find the most interesting (Templars, Napoleonic, etc)
I've touched on it before, but always felt chained to characters that don't fit. Rather than try and force them into a place they don't want to be, I'll just... branch out.
It feels like an exciting new beginning and, honestly, I'm vibrating with different frequencies and loving it.
