βοΈ I draw anthropomorphic animals digitally and traditionally. βοΈ
πΎ I particularly like drawing anthro versions of fictional animals, and already anthropomorphized ones from video games. πΎ
β οΈ Be wary of artistic nudity (specifically, nude without genitalia and nipples). β οΈ
πΊ I have an OC named Margaret, who acts as my proxy and kinda represents as my mascot. πΊ
(I don't draw her much nowadays and probably not going to for a while since I like drawing other things more.)
𧽠I have a scuffed traditional "comic" based on Monster Hunter, which revolves around a Royal Ludroth (named Reiya), who wants to rescue her beloved Ludroth harem from a Valstrax! π§½
(I finished drawing "Chapter 0" and will be taking a break from it for a while, but I will probably still extend on that universe in a non-comic format!)
π Even if I don't respond, know that I value the comments, favorites, and watches! π

Self-Evaluation of the "Comic" (27/04/24)
3 weeks agoI have been drawing a scuffed traditional "comic" revolving around one of the ideas/concepts that I've thought of. Specifically, a concept around Monster Hunter where Royal Ludroth has a harem.
However, this "concept" stirred up like crazy in my head, and now it developed into a Royal Ludroth's expedition to rescue her kidnapped Ludroth from a Valstrax (to put it simply), yet I never really put it down on paper (until the last month after some deliberation and suggestions).
Now, I finished drawing "Chapter 0" and I am going to write a "shitstorm" about my thoughts and experience about this.
(Also note that this "comic" doubles as my art practice and is basically a draft).
Experience: π±
I felt like I significantly lacked the required skills for curating a "comic". Specifically, my current art skills restricted the number of poses/angles I could've gone for to better portray my intentions for the "comic". Additionally, I have no real story-writing experience and relied on my knowledge of what I heard "makes or breaks a story", as well as what I observed that made a story "charming" or "lackluster".
Even with all of those "lack of required skills", I think I managed to portray my intentions for the "comic" a lot better than I thought I would initially when starting this "comic".
That doesn't mean that there isn't anything I would improve on, there is in fact, a lot I would improve on that I would like to take into "Chapter 1".
Potential Improvements: π οΈ
There were numerous times when I felt like another pose/angle would be better suited to portray the "comic", yet I felt incapable of drawing it without it looking wack. So, I made a lot of compromises to the poses/angles to still portray my intentions for "comic" but also better suited my current art skills.
However, some poses/angles did best suit my intentions and were also in my comfort zone, yet they didn't achieve my standards (but I think this is just something that will get better over time, as I improve as an artist).
As for the narrative I intended to portray within the visual side of the "comic", I feel like the flow was a bit "choppy" and that I could've extended some of the pages to make it flow a bit better.
As for the "text" side, dialogue was spoken through "visual speech", which the summary for each page's post would try to interpret broadly. Regarding that, I feel like some of the dialogue could've been better drawn to better match the summary (although, some dialogue was difficult to portray through "visual dialogue" alone). Alternatively, I could've possibly achieved a particular narrative dialogue by planning the pages better.
Speaking of "planning the pages", I need to plan the pages better so that it doesn't have an unnecessary amount of space that I could've utilized for the "comic". On top of that, I need to have a standard set of panel frame designs that I can utilize to portray particular panels since the ones I used were inconsistent.
Lastly, backgrounds ~ They are the weakest part of my usual art arsenal, and you can see it if you pay attention to the backgrounds across the pages.
Inconsistencies: β
A good amount of the backgrounds for the "comic" are quite inconsistent and do not make much sense if you try to combine the backgrounds between connected panels and pages together. I honestly cannot understand how to do consistent and good backgrounds, but I would like to improve on this.
The sizes and designs between characters are also inconsistent, but I can at least understand how to improve on this over time.
A few "dialogue" and "summary" for each page are occasionally inconsistent but I already addressed them within their respective page, except for one broad one. It revolves around the proposition from the Valstrax to Reiya (the Royal Ludroth) where they give her an opportunity for a duel to rescue her Ludroth. This is a wrong choice of words and should be "a fight", as it is inconsistent with the related dialogue with the other characters (the pages should be changed accordingly, but this is just something I wanted to address).
Other Thoughts: π
Drawing (and planning) this "comic" traditionally was a pretty fun experience but also a tiring one, so I'll probably take a break from drawing the "comic" for an unspecified amount of time to do other things that aren't as tiring to do.
However, there are also things I still kinda want to build on and/or address in the universe set in the "comic" and the following are some of them:
- "How do you know the kidnapped Ludroth will be alive before they are rescued"?
- "What is the relationship between the characters"?
- "Why should you care for the kidnapped Ludroth"?
- "Where is it set in"?
I am sure there are a few other things I haven't discussed regarding the "comic", but these are the bulk of it.
Non-Comic Notes: π
I didn't expect to grow to this level within about 3 months of starting my FurAffinity page, but massive thanks for liking and keeping watch of my stuff (whether you are active or passive!)!
I hope you will stick around to see me gradually improve as an artist and become one of the "amazing artists " that I strive to be!
