Classic will never die
Classical literature is a phrase that scares many people. When you hear these two words, you immediately imagine huge thick books, many people come to mind four volumes,’ Wars and Peace " by Tolstoy, which makes some people get goosebumps. Therefore, recently there is a tendency to criticize it, to say that classical, even fiction, is a waste of time. That it does not carry anything useful, that when reading the classics, we are simply told a moralizing story that can teach us nothing, but only entertains us. Why such a strange opinion has massively entered the heads of people, we will now try to understand.
First, I would like to say that you can read literature in different ways. Reading "The Old Man and the Sea" you can just read a story with an interesting plot about how the old man fished, and you can read a beautifully written story about a man's struggle with life's difficulties and about overcoming himself. When you read the classics, it's not just a read with an interesting plot — it's primarily an idea and thoughts that the author wanted to convey to us. This is a book full of metaphors and aphorisms, a book full of life philosophy. Therefore, when reading literature, it is necessary to go beyond the edges of the plot and understand what lessons and instructions the writer gives us through the characters. This is the main reason for reading the classics — finding your life position and a special attitude to various life issues by analyzing the actions of the characters and learning the life lessons of the author. Therefore, literature can make a person a real person. Reading "Crime and Punishment’, we will receive instruction from Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky that every act has consequences, reading’ The Cherry Orchard" by Chekhov, we are horrified by the sincerity of Anton Pavlovich with his message about the passing of time, and reading "War and Peace", the Mona Lisa from the world of literature, we will understand how many topics can be raised in one work.
Literature is the main key to know yourself.
In conclusion, I would like to say that every masterpiece can exist in any form, even if it is a movie or a song, the main thing is that the masses find a piece of themselves in this work.
