Hey y'all,

It's a new year, and a good opportunity to move forward.

For several years I have kept a semi-secret alternate page here on FA under the name Andrea Jae where I have focused primarily on visual art. After a great deal of self-reflection, I have decided to move all my future activity to that page.

The reason for this change is because I am transitioning to female. I have personally identified as AJ for a very long time, as a lot of my writings may reveal to the discerning eye.

I will be keeping Onic's page open to visit, because I love the history of interaction and growth found here, and because it is where I met many of my close friends. I still plan to continue my stories and music on my AJ page, same as before, just in a new home.

While I prefer the pronouns she/her, I understand it will take time for people who know me to adjust, and that is absolutely okay. I will not be upset at anyone who genuinely mistakes or forgets my changing gender or name. Friendship means more to me than that.

I want to thank everyone here who has written to me, encouraged me, listened to me, and given me a reason to share what I love to create. Without you, I wouldn't be who I am today.
