A Friendly Update!
Teehee, oops, I posted this early on accident :3c
Heya everyone! Bear with me, I'm gonna get a little personal here.
It's been some time - I do a pretty poor job of keeping everyone here up to date with how I am and what I'm doing, and it's mostly because stuff like art and my online presence isn't really my life anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm online practically 24/7; but it's not necessarily in a way that most other people online are! I'm open to chat with people and usually in the know, but my interactions with online communities are pretty scarce. You don't find me commenting or interacting very often because the way I feel about online culture has drastically changed in the recent years and has moved me into leading a much happier and less stressful life. I don't use Twitter, I don't use Telegram, I don't really join servers, and I'm not really grasping at the opportunities to flourish online accounts or spread my account's influence as some others might.
While I'm here online and I'm pretty open to talk, most of my time is spent centralized in a friend group while working on things that are independent from communities. You'll find me playing games, building things, working on personal projects, drawing things, working remote... But you won't typically catch me talking in random servers or sniffing out a place to make friends. I'm really contented in the people I chat and interact with currently - so if you feel like I've ghosted you or stopped chatting with you for whatever reason, I guarantee it's probably because I've completely forgotten to take a look at DMs every once in a while. I'm pretty bad at looking at a message and remembering to message back after I'm finished with whatever I was doing. -w-
Now that I've updated you on what my time is typically dedicated to, hopefully this is a good grounds to finally draw the line in the sand:
Commissions are not my thing. And when I say they're not my thing, it's not because I don't take joy in drawing them - actually, they're a ton of fun whenever I get around to them (Bouncing ideas between the commissioner and myself is super fun!) But rather, commissions are a time sink that tends to detract from the things that I'm wanting to draw when I pick up my pen. It's why you'll catch me saying words like, "If I don't really feel like drawing, commissions or otherwise, I simply won't." It's mostly because my desires when it's come to drawing has shifted quite a bit since I've started posting online. I only ever opened commissions for the small amount of money it'd supply me on the side to do other projects - but with my full time job, this amount of money has already been covered. So I really only ever opened commissions to attempt to satisfy a group of people that wouldn't let me alone with wanting pictures from me. And don't get me wrong, I'm so glad that my art is good enough to y'all that you want pictures from me; but you have to understand... I don't operate like other artists on this site. Sometimes I just flat out don't draw for a whole month, and sometimes I just spit out 4 images in a single day. My drawing schedule is all over the place, and it's much less of a schedule and more of a "on the spot" sort of desire. I have many things I work on that isn't just drawing - things like 3D modeling, or programming. I've always been shifting all over the place between mediums of art and projects, and it's difficult to want to sit down and work on commissions for hours when there are plenty of things I'm passionate about eating away at every part of me.
I just like drawing funny pictures with friends, and every now and then drawing something for someone I think is really cool. <3
That being said, I hope this all over the place Journal makes some sense. I won't lie, I kinda decided to make this spur of the moment, since I was about to start drawing after not being able to for two weeks (Building a PC is hard!!). I suppose if you should take anything out of this, it's that I'm just a random person on the internet, like everyone else. I'm not a company, I don't really sell my skills to y'all at all, and I'm not untouchable. I'm just a guy with an affinity to technology who is at a very stable point in their life and is pretty okay at drawing some things.

I probably won't be opening up for Commissions again.
