He/Him / Hobbyist / Digital Artist / Observer / Angry Derg
By the way I used to be on deviantart for several years but I left a while ago. My profile there is still up but empty. I'm basically starting anew. I hope we'll having a good time. :)
- !! - Be aware that NSFW can be occasionally found in my gallery - !! -
\._ Hello there! I'm a hobbyist, digital artist from Bavaria (Germany) with a love for dragons _./
\.__________ - - \.__./T\.__./ - - __________./
I have quite a romantic stance towards drawing. Some of my works can be personal and emotional, some other works are just spontaneous ideas I get while something interesting catches my attention.
I don't necessarily aim to make a carrier out of my craft. Making it professionally intimidates me in many ways.
So much so that I had to give up on a big world building project which I obviously never published. Maybe for the better ...
Now I just want to depict different types of themes, loosely tied together.
Love and loss.
Anger and joy.
Desperation and hope.
I see making art as an expression of humanity, of what I am and what I feel. It gives my life some sort of meaning.
Music helps a lot for inspiration. From bombastic to ominous. It helps me finding the right mood and staying motivated.
Nevertheless I'm in a love-hate relationship with art. Sometimes I can't do anything else then drawing and on other days I could throw everything away to never touch it again.
But in the end of the day, I have to continue. It's my identity.

How things are connected
I decided to give a little insight of how my works are connected with each other. A little trivia.
To make it short: Everything should b a great mystery. I don't aim to craft a functional world that can be putted on a map. Things should be ambiguous, without a clear path, timeline or scale. The drawings I show here are like themed hotel rooms. Every room has its own theme but despite the drastic differences they are still part of the same building.
It's a surreal 'world' which doesn't functions like ours at all. Its true scale remains unknown and can't be fully grasped. Maybe it's tiny like an island or gigantic like a planet.
This 'world' has no purpose, things happens as they come and I draw these happenings - Situations that may occur and the emotions being felt in. Ranging from lighthearted and peaceful to serious and weird.
The reason why I keep everything so ambiguous is because I'm a lazy hobbyist and it's easier ... Well, that's partly true but it's also because I want to focus on situations and emotions while keeping everything loosely connected, so I can build on top of previous drawings and expand the mystery without restricting myself.
Nobody knows where all of this will go and neither do I and this is the key point. "What will we see next?" That should be the question.
As a side note:
All of this has nothing to do with my old world building project. There was a time where I was working on it but I had to put it aside because it was too ambitious, too big. I still think about it but I can't work on it anymore. It was a lesson that showed me my boundaries.
