I've been a lurker on this site for a long time, and thought it was finally time to kick my laziness out and actually get this set up! Gonna be adding more to this soon, so stay tuned!

G'Day! How things are going, where I've been and stuff
a week ago
G'Day there! Just wanted to give you guys a bit of an update as to how things have been since I properly set up my page and started to upload some stuff. Apologies for not saying much for the past... year. Yikes
Things with work and IRL have been taking up a lot of the time that I have nowadays. Working between two jobs can have you on your toes quite a bit! Pretty much working at a local liquor store and KFC where I live, but been getting more hours and shifts at the bottle shop for the past few months or so. Between that, there's also keeping up with IRL friends outside of work that I've been able to see at least once a week or two, if lucky and nothing interrupts any plans on both sides. But ah well, just how things are, I suppose.
In addition to that, there's also a bit of a personal project that I've been doing for at least the past 3 years or so on my gaming side of things. Been going through the past Pokémon games, from GBA, DS, 3DS and now Switch, to make an entire Living Dex. What that means is getting every single Pokémon from each generation in numerical Pokedex order. Ya know, Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur etc. It's been quite a journey! I started it out with getting myself a full Complete In Box copy of Pokémon Heartgold from eBay, and going back to my childhood copy of Pokémon Platinum (the first ever Pokémon game and video game I ever owned) and getting each Pokémon from the respective games and generations, to which I started out with Gen 1, 2 and 4. I've also been playing through my own copies of each generation of Pokemon I've had while growing up, including purchasing copies of Pokemon FireRed, Leafgreen, Emerald, Black 2, X and Alpha Sapphire from eBay, while I had gotten Let's Go Pikachu, Eevee and Shield through EB Games to help with this project, both via online and within my local store. Heartgold and Black 2 were games I never had gotten as a kid, so playing those after missing out on them growing up and playing them through this project was great. I already played Black 1 back when I got my own copy as a kid, but for the sake of the Living Dex, I decided to play through a new file and got all the Mons from Unova that I needed. I reckon talking more in depth about this project would need it's own journal posting, so that might come later! But to say at the very least, I'm playing through my copy of Pokémon Scarlet and going through the DLCs, two years after beating the main game. Took me long enough to get here because of how long this has been taking me lol.
In terms of art, I've been getting myself some more commission over time, while trying to not spend so much on commissions, YCHs and adopts. Try as I might, but it's a bit of a struggle. I'm sure some of you may have already seen some commissions I've gotten from other artists that they've already posted, such as Teaselbone, Dulynoted and some others. I'm trying to keep my commission and overall spending limit fairly low, as I want to save up for a proper gaming desktop PC. The laptops I've got, especially the one I'm using right now, are way, WAY old and are a constant reminder of me needing an upgrade. These laptops I've had since high school, so I'm in need of better tech. Doesn't help that things are getting more expensive and prices for everything is going up nowadays. Not much you can do about that, though. Furthermore, I've been wanting to get back into drawing myself, having been out of it for quite a few years now. At least 5, I think. Thing is that I'm worried my artstyle or technique isn't that impressive or good to look at, as I'm more of a traditional pencil on paper sort of person. I've talked about the same matter, including my doubts, worries and struggles with some of my friends, who have been quite supportive of me. But I'm always holding myself back to do it all again, one way or another. Either work, gaming, laziness or just lack of motivation aren't helping much. But I'm slowly working my way to getting myself prepared to get back into drawing. Just not sure when it'll happen. Might start small and see how things go.
I've also gotten some more characters besides just my werewolf fursona and Lumberjack Bowser AU. I'm sure you'll like them a lot when I get around to posting them, among other pieces of art. I've got a couple other characters in mind too, being a western dragon and a vampire cobra. Be sure to stay tuned for that!
With all that said, that's pretty much where I'm at for the time being. I apologize for this journal being a bit too long, but thought I'd put it some things out there, jumbled thoughts and all. All in all, thank you for taking the time to read this journal, hope you have a good day/night, and I'll keep you updated again at some point. Catch ya later. Cheers!
