Hello, dear visitor.
The name's Lucas, and I’m a guy that goes by Wulfe Van Der Kross around here, and many other spots on the internet in which I’ve set up a little nook.
I'm a weirdo from Kentucky who is an enthusiast of media featuring anthropomorphic animal characters, as well as a lover of the fantasy genre, from movies and shows to books, games, and more.
I have aspired to bring these two loves together to create a fantasy setting, and stories occurring within, that will hopefully bring delight and inspiration to folks from both spheres of interest.
That setting is the world of Fidonhaal, a world that is home to a race of creatures called the Fidons, who we would describe as looking like anthropomorphic wolves.
The first novel I've written for this setting is titled The Saga of Fidonhaal - Daughters of the East. It was published in early 2022, and a link to its Amazon page has been provided at the top of my profile for those interested.
I've also commissioned some art relating to this story, or the setting of Fidonhaal at large, since the publication, and look forward to commissioning more in the future. Part of the reason for this is the hope of drawing some attention to the book, but also for the joy of working with artists to bring pieces of my writing to life.
If you are interested in looking into some samples of this book, you can check out preview-chapters, along with several maps of the world of Fidonhaal and other artwork relating to the story and setting in general, here.
Feel free to have a look at these, or drop a shout, note or comment.
Have a good day!
Regards,
Lucas/Wulfe

Short Story of Fidonhaal Inbound...
Heya, folks!
So, before I say anything else, I want to thank everyone who's given my writing a chance up to this point.
That said, in an effort to give even the tiniest hint of a "roadmap" for things, my "current thing" is intending to put together a collection of short stories that feature a recurring character (who, in Daughters of the East, was a comparatively minor character, but not without his own adventurous life) throughout several points in his life.
However, because of an assortment of factors in my life, including but not limited to "okay, now what?" syndrome following my debut novel's publication, moving, having a "normal" job thrown into the mix of things again, looking for a different (and hopefully "better") job, and whatever else, my writing efforts for things going forward have been a bit "off and on" for a fair while.
Oh, and I've also just been plain-ol' procrastinating, too. X/
However, thankfully, I feel that a number of things have "clicked together" again, and, while I still might not be going at it quite as much as I might have under other circumstances, there has been a bit of a re-invigoration in my writing efforts, and while I still don't have a confident ETA for the final product, the previously mentioned short-story anthology is indeed still underway, with the first of the collection being done to at least a "satisfactory (to me) first-typed-draft."
With this, in conjunction with a bit of reevaluation of my writing reasons/priorities, I've checked with my editor and publisher, and with their agreement have decided to put up this "initial pass" of the first short-story across at least a couple of spots online, including here on FA. For all who have given my work a chance up to this point, I hope this can give you a little something to enjoy in the meantime, as I try to continue working on all this. And for any new folks who look into this, I hope it might intrigue them to look into what's been done so far in addition to potentially being interested in future work.
Regardless of whatever outcomes, additions to audience, and so on (if any such things see a change or growth), I've come to feel, on reflection, that for whatever * career hopes * I have for this sort of thing, there is also simply the yearning to create/sub-create something to put out into the world, and no matter how many or few people so much as give my writing the time of day, I still want to work at it and try to put more out.
So yeah, no hard-set idea on when my next "full project" will be published, but in the meantime, I'd like to share with you all a "rough cut" of the first tid-bit I have lined up for the next "book" I have in mind to try to do.
In advance, to all who give this a look, whether you're someone already acquainted with the setting of Fidonhaal or a newcomer, I give you my sincere thanks, and my earnest hopes that you will find it at least modestly enjoyable.
All constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated!
The first chapter, in addition to views of the artwork I've thrown together for the thumbnail on here, will be coming along shortly, along with periodic posts of subsequent chapters for the story over the next stretch of time!
I hope you all enjoy, and my thanks to you all again in advance!
